That contradicts what is shown in the video unless this entire episode happened well in advance of the 2nd patrol car that showed up.

Even then it doesn't make a lot of sense, as Officer Shelby seemed to be alone.

We now know that at least part of that statement is a lie. Show in the video where he reached into a vehicle with a closed window.

So they claim he was tasered after reaching into his car? Really?

Wouldn't the car door or window still be open after he was shot? As shown by video and pic the car door is shut and the window is rolled all the way up.

Agreed...my use of the word 'evidence' is that a police spokesman said that a taser was fired.

Unless there was some sort of reaching into the car prior to video starting, and the "short time later" is the video we see.

Still unlcear to me if he was getting any instructions or not. I know there are some officer quotes, but you can't hear anything in the video.

If there was some worry of the car exploding, surely the police wouldn't tell him to go back to the car.

If he was told to get down and he didn't, still doesn't seem right to shoot since his hands were up and looked to be just putting them on the car.

Window does look up, but could be hard for the officer to know that.

Based on the blood stain I think they shot him looking at the window. Evidence doesn't look good for the cops.

Yep...based on what we can see in the video and the officer(s) claim that he was reaching into the car, it seems evident the shooting officer screwed up royally.

That's the conclusion most reasonable people would reach based on the video evidence. Of course the alt-right posters in this thread would have you believe otherwise.

The following is the Tulsa police chief. He has called on the Justice department to investigate and is calling this a criminal investigation. It seems clear that he knows a huge mistake occurred.

Sounds like the Chief is handling this the right way.

If chief says there was a taser deployment and names the officer, then that's pretty solid. Gotta believe victim somehow was not following commands.

Could getting hit by a taser cause a victim to flinch uncontrollably and get shot for moving? If so, doesn't seem like good communication between officers to wait for taser to do its job.

It's sounding more and more like the shot Shelby fired was in reaction to the taser going off.

    How awful.

    Totally agree,

Bigtexx is right about following orders and that looks to be exactly what this man is doing...

His hands are in the air and there are at least 5.... 5 police officers there.

There was no reason for this man to die...

You can see the 2nd responding officer holding a taser in his left hand and him firing it moments before the 1st responding officer (Shelby) fires her gun.

    She's going to jail.

The police were responding to a stranded motorist?

And Crutcher was the stranded motorist?

Why/how on earth did this lead to the man being shot?
    Are stranded motorists considered dangerous?

Did the OP think this one through now that facts have emerged?

What is that supposed to prove? That crazy or violent people don't have a neon-sign hanging over their head saying so?
