This team will never win anything with Brock Osweiler at QB!

2 games in and Nuk has caused 2 interceptions blamed on him, Fuller has cost him 2 TD's, and the refs called back another TD to Nuk.

A lot of bad luck so far, but I agree, he could end up being one hell of a bargain.

Braxton throw was ill advised I will give you that.

I will actually agree with Bobby on the slant that was almost picked. That was on Nuk whose route was not sharp.

I think that backshoulder throw was a chemistry problem.

Looked to be where it needed to be based off of a normal backshoulder ball.

    Exactly.

That may take a while though.

Brock does something that no Houston QB has been able to do sans Fitzpatrick at times

Move his feet strategically to avoid the rush.

Schuab would go fetal or heave it up, Hoyer would go Hoyer, Carr would sack.

The potential is there. I think they are good enough to get a bye and compete for a AFC championship.

    2-0

    That's what matters.

We also played some good defenses.

    Small sample sizes are fun.

Not sure what to make of Osweiler yet. He's been average, which I'm OK with at this point.

I will say this. All QB's look bad at times. Arron Rodgers didn't look very good last night, and we know he's a good QB.

If the Texans offensive line plays well, then I think Osweiler will do well.

Even in this game I see a talented qb with osweiler. The biggest issue right now is they can't run the ball effectively.

Not trying to prioritize the issues, just pointing out my observations. We can agree to disagree and call it an experience and chemistry thing.

It's very clear that Oz has practiced a lot with Fuller to get that deep ball going and hopefully that can consistently open up the offense. I am still optimistic but our offense simply has been sub-par. It's good we are getting wins with the o-line so banged up and/or inexperienced.

It's a good thing our defense has kept us alive because our offense is not cutting it. There are rookies looking better than Brock right now. He has leader qualities and a good arm so I have hope, but he makes me nervous when we get to the red zone. I don't have faith in him not throwing right to a defender yet. I wasn't expecting him to be in the top 10 for interceptions. Let's hope he starts scoring more touchdowns than interceptions because we will be facing some teams who are scoring machines.

All true, but don't forget the INT Hopkins saved yesterday unless you think Hopkins screwed up twice same game.

Brock has played above-average, all things considered. His upside seems better than Schaub as Brock can move better within the pocket and can finish throws with more pressure in his face. The upside will grow plenty more if he performs well in his first primetime test as a Texan, Thursday.

Never overlook poor play in a win that wouldn't accept in a defeat. The offense isn't doing well and the defense is winning the games.

Crazy enough, that was another timing route that Nuk messed up on a bit. He stumbled slightly when he was making his break and it cost him a step. He made a great play preventing the interception, so I can't bash him too much for it. I mean, mistakes happen on timing routes when you've had only a little time with a receiver.

It was just bad luck really, Nuk is still one of the best in the business.

I'm surprised we are not going to Strong often and Braxton Miller is not being used right.

agree with all of this. It's what some of the local media experts are missing. And he's only had 5 months in what others playing that position for b.o.b's offense say..."it's like learning chinese backwards."

The best part of brock so far is the quarterback part. when things aren't looking bright, he doesn't put his head down and go to the fetal position. He gets a first down, he recognizes the CBs aren't set and keeps the chains moving.

these experts are still clamming to the Letterman jackets.

Skip Bayless: Osweiler is a turnover machine. He'll win you some regular season games but will crumble when it matters most.

That settles it, Osweiler won't turn it over for three games at least

Strong is slow. That's always been the knock on him.

It seems like we have only run predictable short passes to Braxton

I'm going to take the homer glasses off and say that I'm not satisfied with Brock yet.

I'm also going the knock Godsey's playcalling a bit, because there were some predictable/questionable plays on Sunday.

Brock has benefited entirely from Fuller's speed as well as Hopkins' playmaking ability. I am not sure what HE can do on his own. He definitely hasn't sold me yet as the franchise qb.

Again, it's only 2 games. But moving forward, I'm concerned.

He's clearly not the type of QB that makes WR's better (there are only 2-4 of those in the league at any given time). He's the type of QB that looks better with good WR's (like Matt Ryan).

    I don't have a problem with that.
