I wouldn't get all that crazy. The Chiefs run a very run-centric and conservative offense, and even more conservative than the Texans. They are without their all pro RB, and our line has them shut down. Our linebacking core and secondary has a few too many boneheaded plays a game to be Super Bowl ready just yet. Romeo Crennel just runs a great defense that is really hard to scheme and predict (just like Wade Phillips).
I would agree with you if this was a small sample size but since mid season last year until now this team defense has been up there with some of the very best defenses. Very few are better imo.
That's how the long ball game works - we just haven't seen it for 15 years. If you hit 50% of your deep balls, you're doing well. We are (especially if you call the Hopkins TD overturn a catch).
