No. This stars one of the best actors from The Wire, if not the best, Idris Elba. nothing else really needs to be explained, imo, for someone to watch this show. Somewhat like explaining Boardwalk Empire to people who you know. All you have to say is Steve Bescemi is the lead role.
Oh really?! Good news I thought they were done with the tv series and focusing on a movie. Wonder what ever happened to that Alice mini-series they talked about before
Correct. Season 4 is one 2-hour episode. http://www.popsugar.com/entertainment/Luther-Season-4-Details-39280286
I only watch mystery series but I have trouble finding interesting ones that also dont' turn into too much action.(hate action with guns and explosions and car chases *yawn*). I found Vera which was amazing. This looks like it is worth trying. If anyone has more suggestions please tell me. Everything I have tried watching lately was a huge letdown.
I have The Honorable Woman on my next-to-watch list. I haven't watched any of it yet, but it might fit your requirements. It's another British show, starring Maggie Gyllenhaal so I figure it probably will be more about espionage and manipulation rather than outright action. Maybe someone else here has already seen it and can comment?
Thank you - repped. I found this list http://brightestyoungthings.com/art...mysteries-to-binge-watch-now-2015-edition.htm but it has too many and it's too hard to say which is good and which is not or where to start lol. If anyone has any more suggestions please let me know.
Only watched Sherlock out of these, highly recommended though. Brilliant acting and good plots. Each season is split into three 2hour episodes, which is rather unique and makes for a good experience.
Thanks for the heads-up! I love this show!!! I hope Moriarity doesn't ... oh wait that's Sherlock! I actually love BOTH shows! ... ....... ....... .......
Sorry to revive an old thread, but me and SWMBO just finished Season 3 on Netflix. Loved it. Looking forward to watching Season 4; sadly, could only find the last episode on BBC America, so may need to watch the other episodes on Kodi. Love, love, love Alice. Someone commented on her lips in an older post, they add to her character (seems she may have designed her lipstick and smile after The Joker? ). They have to follow through and make a series spinoff. Though keeping Luther going with her as a recurring character will also be great. But the show gets such a boost whenever she appears. Someone also commented on his clothes. The last guy investigating him also commented on his clothes in one scene... and even Alice seemed to when she told him to toss the coat (literally).
I actually finished watching this with my gf last night. I had seen it before but loved it. She really liked it too. Season 4 is way too short though. I wanted more.
nevermind. I've already seen Season 4. Netflix is just now releasing Lost track of season count. You had me excited that it was new.
