To a certain extent yes. Broncos won the first game 31-24 with Manning still the QB. The second game the Chiefs won 29-13. Manning was replaced in favor of Brock. 14/24 146 yds 1td, 1 int, most of that was just garbage time numbers but he's still familiar with what they bring. But so are the Texans.
Too many touches for the first week. Especially for a guy who has averaged less than 15/game for his career as a starter
How long does it take you to recover from a tough run/workout? Because it doesn't take me anything close to a week, and I'm nowhere near professional athlete status. It was one game with 30 touches and maybe 50-60 snaps for an elite athlete in his mid-20's still. Just so long as no tendons/ligaments are strained/sprained, he's fine.
Lol, not at this point in the season. If he's getting 25+ touches a game through week 12, then he'll probably be worn down for the remaining games. At this point, he should easily be 100%. Now that OL blocking...that's another story.
I did a 12 X 400M + 4 X 200M speed workout yesterday and already feel good to go. That's 3.5 miles of speed work and 6 miles total which is a hell of a lot more than any RB will ever run in a game. They don't actually run a whole lot. WR/CB run the most at a little over a mile a game. RB's usually don't get that far downfield and don't really sprint for more than a couple of seconds unless they break one. The running part isn't really the issue. It's the hits you take when you carry the ball. 30 carries equals roughly 30 hits from DLinemen and linebackers.
Miller will be fine but the other backs will need to contribute more so he's not worn out late in the season
Bad because it means the offense is stalling. Even if the gimmick play works, it will suck that our offense is stalling.
Yeah but I don't really expect that to be a problem. With as many weapons and mismatches that the Texans can create, I can't imagine it stalling that often.
Oh gosh no! Not that Watt cat again. I think we might see some wrap arounds and Baxton Miller snaps. Maybe a fake field goal with Lechler throwing a pass in the end zone.
I expect at some point to see something similar to what the Patriots did in the playoffs. What looked like a screen to Edelman turned to him throwing a bomb down field. Its too tempting for them not to have something like that in the playbook for Braxton
I'd love for him to unbreak my heart this year that was repeatedly broken all these years being a Texans fan.
Brock would be fine with it as long as the Texans get Manning out of retirement. He's always been very understanding of being second fiddle to Manning.
