Colin Kaepernick protests anthem due to treatment of minorities

Look at all that brand damage:

Kaepernick just owned the national conversation for the opening week of the NFL season to draw attention to an important issue.

Good job, Colin.

 

Just because there are a lot of attention whores out there doesn't mean it's doing the right thing and it doesn't mean that people don't look negatively at them and the teams the represent as a result of their actions.

 

And that "national conversation" was about how he was a disrespectful b*stard and nothing else. I guess you think that's an "important issue" but I don't.

 

His domination of your thoughts and control of your emotions is apparent - thanks for helping him to continue the national conversation one hundred and twenty three separate times on this thread alone.

 

It's interesting the sides people take.

If a guy doesn't stand for a song then he is a disrespectful piece of ****.

If you lead America into a bs war that gets thousands of Americans needlessly killed and injured then you are considered a patriot by many of the same people.

Guy protests an anthem. Okay he has the right to.

Guys get upset about guy protesting. Okay they have the right to.

Guy states that minorities are treated badly. Okay, it's an opinion.

Let's have a rational discussion about it. Pull up the stats. Talk about the stats. Make reasonable argument.

No matter who wins or loses, everybody gains knowledge.

I will always try to do this. Whether or not you chose to do this too is your call. Just a suggestion.

if you try to bring stats up others just try to counter with anecdotal sob stories. Everyone loves being victim. They will not let a stat take that away from them

To be honest, he's accomplished nothing in terms of what he's trying to "protest.' He's only made himself more of a joke to the public and only separated the country further.

If drawing attention was the goal? Then yes, he's been very successful at getting attention for himself.
But very unsuccessful with accomplishing anything that matters in this world.

Why even come out of the National Anthem? Just stay in the locker room, and come out when it's over.
