I think their roles might be different too, Andre played the possession receiver a lot. I don't know that Fuller will be asked to do that yet

Remember he did this on less than 100 percent of a hamstring

Stop counting after first 3 seasons, but Moss had 12

One game features 3 rec / 150+ yrds with 3 TDs

Google "(player name) career game log" and choose NFL.com's website.

    True

Could be. I still have to say Jerry Rice, he ran every pattern and caught every ball.

It was a different game, so I get it. Harold Carmichael vs. Pat Fischer was a freak event back then.

Well Moss was the GOAT at go routes, Jerry Rice was the GOAT overall as a WR.

Was he? That's like saying Jordan could jump higher than those old guys...of course he could. Nutrition and training and the steamroller of time play a role.

That's another reason why I mentioned the Carmichael/Fischer wars. I wish I could youtube those, it's amazing.

Main thing Jerry has over Randy is longevity.

A good NBA comparison is Jabaar vs Wilt/Shaq

Kareem had more skills and longevity, but Wilt and Shaq were more dominant.

Keep in mind, the two greatest scoring offenses in NFL history have one player in common.

*wow, another poster mentioned basketball exactly when I do

Rice had 2 HOF QBs for most of his career, while Moss had mostly journeyman that he made look like pro-bowlers. When he finally got with Brady, that was insane, and that was when people said he was already in decline. Can you imagine if he had someone like Brady/Montana/Young in his prime? Moss even made Matt Cassel(!) look like a NFL starter.

Man that in perfect season Super Bowl, he nearly caught the winning touchdown, he beat his guy but Brady underthrew him and when you look at the replay it looked like Brady heaved it with all he had.

The 5th game of Moss' rookie season was against the GB Packers on MNF and he recorded 5 rec 190 yds 2 tds. He had 17 tds and 1313 yds in his rookie season(1998), probably something we might not see again for a very long time, even with today's pass happy offenses. Jerry Rice was still playing then too, so they are not that far apart.

Fuller putting up big numbers while Doctson and Treadwell can't even get on the field. Love it.

I think Coleman, Fuller, and Sheperd will be the best WRs from this class

Doctson is going to be a really good player assuming health. But Fuller was/is the right WR for this team.
