I don't think someone should be judged based on what diploma they do or do not have. That's not the problem with him.

I hold special reservation for Bobby for insulting the entire infantry profession for being 'idiots' and claiming he has 'intelligence' because he chose a different MOS.

Would be better if he decided to bring his own little flag and light it on fire during the anthem. What a wuss.

Wow he really said that? Geez.

I don't like the insults people make about others intelligence on here. How the F does anyone here know how little someone has to work with in terms of IQ? This isn't real life. Opinions are not the same as intelligence. I know some brilliant people with f'd up views and I know some not so smart people with pretty wise and humanistic ones

I had to come back to this because you stop so much stupid stuff here that it is a full time job correcting it.

First of all, conservatives like you created race as an identifier in this country. This census picture is from 1790. As you can see, it's just white people, other people, and slaves.

In 1860, this changed to whites, blacks, mulattos, black slaves, and mulatto slaves.

    http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/interactives/multiracial-timeline/

You guys created this racial stuff. Your blaming minorities for this racial categorization is just unimaginably stupid.

Fact is your kind created this white category to unite people against black people, another racial category that white slave owners created by enslaving Africans with varied cultures and languages. Over time immigrant families that identified themselves not as white but as Polish, German, Italian, etc., who by the way experienced all kinds of prejudice from "white people" who were already here when they immigrated, began to identify themselves as white to counter whatever perceived threat they felt from black, brown, and yellow people.

So your whole mumbo jumbo spiel about minorities and race is just completely bologna. YOU are the racists. People of your ilk created this race dynamic, fed it politically with documented racial shenanigans over many decades, and you OWN it. You and StupidMoniker come in here with these obtuse, willfully ignorant intellectual exercises in nonsense and then you think you have some moral high ground. Jesus Christ. It's like you've substituted the actual history with some imagined history that just fits your act better.

It's not my fault you have no understanding of how small the "problem" BLM is protesting against is. The overwhelming majority of the problems faced by black Americans are problems of their own making. Blaming whitey is scapegoating used to enrich "leaders" of black America and to distract from the sad realization that one has to solve their own problems.

There are millions of police interactions with the public every year. Those interactions tend to occur when there is some reasonable suspicion that a law has been broken. When those interactions occur, 99.9%+ of the time, there are no issues that arise between the police and the public. The times when violence occurs that is initiated by the police is infinitesimal in comparison to the number of interactions. There is never going to be a police force that never has any interactions go bad, but the numbers are tiny and are the cost of doing business. Regardless of the reason for bad interactions, be it racism, undertrained cops, Jupiter aligned with Mars, or anything else, it is just so unlikely to happen that it is a waste of your brain's processing time to worry about it (especially if you are not a violent criminal).

I have no doubt that there are studies which show a systemic bias in some departments. I don't know if the fact that cops know that black people are disproportionately criminal influences that, but I would guess it likely does. The existence of this bias, at whatever level it actually occurs, doesn't translate into an epidemic of cop on black violence. The fact that you cannot grasp this doesn't make me willfully ignorant. These intellectual exercises are designed to show you that it isn't the police black people should be afraid of, it is themselves and each other. If there was a group of white people that was out in the streets protesting the police shooting white people, I would tell them the same thing. For whatever reason, white people seem to understand, by and large, that the people getting shot by the cops were far more often than not doing something to invite that behavior.

Brandon Marshall just lost an endorsement:

Century Link's statement is perfect in my opinion. He has a right to speak his mind, and they have a right to not employ him as a face of their brand.

How many is that for Marshall now? Didn't he lose one the day after, too?

Edit: Yep, he lost the Air Academy Federal Credit Union endorsement earlier. That's one company that would probably like you to support their patriotism.

I just don't understand how they can't find a more widely accepted way to try and enact change. All they are doing is pissing off a giant portion of the country. Like Black Lives Matter, they are doing just as much harm for their cause as they are good.

The controversy brings attention to their protest, which is exactly what protesters want. At least the worst it's doing is hurting people's feelings and not obstructing highways like a bunch of idiots.

If people are so upset about what happens during 90 seconds, I'm guessing they'd find a reason to be upset about any other form of protest.
