Stayed put in the AP Poll at #6. Will need to root for Louisville to beat Florida State and Clemson. Also need to demolish Cincinnati this Thursday for multiple reasons. As much as was built against Oklahoma, it will all be unbuilt if we lose that game. Hope Herman opens the playbook and Oliver goes nuts.
Our offense has looked pretty meh in the redzone, but I think our defense will feast on them. They looked better this week against Purdue than they did in Week 1, but we're a much stronger team than what they've faced so far.
This should be Wards Heisman Game if there was one. Send another message to the Big 12 and run up the score against a team that could give us a fight or an upset.
LOL, I'm not trolling, that's just how it goes. For whatever reason they always seem to downplay recruits when certain teams land them and overrate them when other schools land them.
Not really a troll job. Prospects that choose a smaller school do seem to take a hit. Oliver was an elite prospect last year, and he went down to 4 starts when he committed to UH. By the very end of the season he was back up to 5 stars, but ranked lower than he should have been. Really, the rankings are not as accurate as they are in other sports. Teams can have several elite recruiting classes and still not be elite. In general you would rather have a top class; but it isn't an exact science.

You're not wrong. D'Eriq King's ranking went down after he committed here. 2017 recruit Jaylon Mascorro's rank also went down while he was committed here (though he later decommitted). Recruiting is so much based off of reputation of the schools that want certain players. Plenty of our 2 and 3 star guys play like 4 and 5 star guys, and there are tons of P5 school who wish they had some of our guys on their team.
I am saying that players that early on choose non-major BCS schools, especially early, sometimes see their rankings/ratings fall in the eyes of some of the publications that are relied upon in ranking/judging a recruiting class. I am skeptical by nature, but have seen it happen too many times. Is it a conspiracy? No, but there appears to be a subtle bias attitude that if a top tier player isn't at a top tier school, it is because a top tier school didn't really want them.
