That's a big if...but i kinda agree, right now it's pretty easy to talk **** and laugh about the Rockets, but a lot of people seem to not consider enough what a clean lockeroom can do, for me at least.

Rubio is gonna help tremendously with the defense.

I love Jeff's optimism but I just don't get the comparison to Nash. I've heard it several times now, but they are not the same player, and they have almost nothing in common (other than a lack of defense).

I use to respect and admire JVG. Now, he's nothing but a sellout.

JVG should be the one coaching this team, not Pringles.

True, he helps out every opposition's defense because he's so bad at offense.

We merely have to be slightly above average offensively in order to make the playoffs, assuming we are overall healthy.

That defense is going to suck next year though.

That's the not the problem. They gave big money to the wrong guy with Ryan Freaking Andersen. Save that money to renegotiate Bogut from going to Mavs would have been the correct move.

Yeah, then we could have struck out on a center, and a PF!

One overlooked upgrade: free throw shooting.

No more Dwight to brick free throws. No more Josh Smith to brick free throws. No more Terrence Jones to shoot poorly from the line.

Dwight is replaced with Nene, who shoots about 60% compared to Dwight's 48%. Josh Smith and Terrence Jones are replaced by Ryan Anderson, who shoots 87% from the line compared to Smith's 48% and Jones' 60%.

Now, there are still poor free throw shooters on the team like Capela, but getting rid of 3 of the 4 worst free throw shooters on the team will certainly raise the team's free throw percentage and increase the points per game.

Even underhanded FT shooting Nanu is an improvement at roughly 60%

None of these guys can control the paint and draw attention away from Harden. Maybe Nene stays healthy and can be such an option but overall the key guy to get was Bogut when he was traded. The best overall center that impacts the game and team in a positive way due to his presence. Warriors were too demanding and got rid of the guy but without him they couldn't win last years championship nor this year.
