Colin Kaepernick protests anthem due to treatment of minorities

So much fail in this post. For starters, you're making a part to whole logical fallacy in taking certain violent, despicable actions from people who hide under the banner of "Black Lives Matter", and applying it to all who have peacefully and productively advocated for the issues behind the movement's origins. I'm sure you aren't even familiar with the policy suggestions behind BLM or the peaceful protestors who denounce the violent actions of other blacks.

Furthermore, it just baffles me that people are offended by this peaceful protest demonstration that will likely see Kap lose more than he has to gain in order to open the public forum to a conversation about these real issues. I think it's more offensive to ignore the majority of the black community's pain with regards to these issues, or better yet as you are doing, just calling them liars.

 

These people such as Kapernick, BLM, and the other black racist groups are not interested in having a discussion. The are only interested in delivering a lecture. If they ever become interested in participating in an open-minded, courteous discussion, that will be great. Unfortunately, they do not appear to be open to that just yet.

 

Ignorant to facts. The peaceful "racist" protestors you are reffering to have outlined policy suggestions that most Americans agree with. Hop off that Faux News breh.

They shouldn't even play the national anthem before Rockets, Texans or Astros games. They should play "Heaven, Hell or Houston" from ZZ Top. Much more appropriate, and eliminates the controversy.

Of course since BLM is a little like the Tea Party with its fragmented and decentralized structure (there is no president or central headquarters), you will have to go to quite a few places to get the complete answer to this question.

You want a courteous discussion on police brutality and racial inequality, the existence of which is completely denied by conservatives despite the incredible evidence to the contrary. How about you courteously go to hell, bro. We don't need your God damn permission to protest the obvious. You can't have any actual discussion with willfully ignorant people.

 

You can't have a discussion with people who are so closed minded, they will not tolerate anyone expressing ideas that are inconsistent with their own on a topic like this either. It's funny, that's exactly what you are doing here. Just because there are some non-violent, non-despicable (though all are really stupid people) people who have taken up the BLM banner, that's not who it represents. It represents violent, despicable, racist people. I mean, that's the people that founded it. So you're basically saying that some of the people who foolishly jumped on that bandwagon represent the whole rather than those who founded it, those who were there from day 1.

The violent pricks don't "hide" behind that banner, that's what the banner is for. "No justice, no peace" remember? It wasn't only "hands up, don't shoot" that they chanted.

I make a point not to keep up to date about the specific policy suggestions of racist hate groups and I don't make an exception for BLM.

1. It's disrespectful to the country.

2. It's completely r****ded.

3. It's almost certainly a cynical act for publicity.

4. Going along with 2, it's not about "real issues".

5. Going along with 3, Kap has already benefited due to this publicity stunt, his jersey sales have skyrocketed due to r****ded people supporting his cynical publicity stunt and he's still on an NFL roster despite being awful at football.

I think it's offensive to suggest that a racist hate group like BLM represents the "majority" of black people. Maybe you're okay with that though.
