how about just bringing out the best pitcher available rather than playing the whole righty/lefty matchup. it was big spot which chapman should have never been in so I'm not upset he got shelled. mind blowing.
Would've much rather seen Hoyt or Neshek against Naquin rather than Guyer against Chapman. And it ain't close.
Didn't realize Musgrove got scratched today in favor of Paulino... Good luck young fella. Edit: Musgrove just pushed back a day to deal with the Keuchel injury vacancy.
I've pretty much expected Fister's regression to happen all year, all the signs were there that his success was built on shaky foundation. It's still extremely tough given all of the other rotation issues we are having at the moment. McHugh and Fister have been terrible over the last month, Keuchel and McCullers are hurt, Musgrove is a rookie that already has a career high innings load. It's hard to feel too good about a rotation when Mike Fiers is easily the most reliable arm.
