He has... but Gattis is going to get worse as the game goes on, and especially as the season goes on.

Nows the time to get him the f out of the game in the later innings when trying to protect a lead.

Wow, an amazing catch by Garner. Good thing New York won, keeping everything tightened in the wild card play.

They're going to win on Thursday because get-away day road games are their specialty.... so they might as well lose (and lose badly) tomorrow night to keep everything on that track.

Because they weren't going to go to Cleveland and win all 4... were they?

Anybody else notice that they're now 10-2 vs. Baltimore and Cleveland?

Huge win...give me one more win this series and that'll be a major clutch move.

Happy to see Detroit lose too.

Not sure how much more we can go with keuchel and LMJ out of our rotation, but hope to just get some timely hitting and pitching along the way.

Would be awesome to make it to the playoffs and all of a sudden get our top two pitchers fresh for the post season.

Yep, and I had a great feeling going into Cleveland. Just seems we can beat anyone but the Rangers. The Rangers have is currently out of the playoffs

It would be nice to do that, but most of us see that unless everything clicks at once and the baseballs gods smile at the Stros (neither of which ever seems to happen), this team is not winning a title this year even if both come back.

I almost would rather both just get healthy at pace they need to their best for their careers. Then hopefully some of the pitchers on the current roster step up and prove themselves for the next few seasons. If Dallas and LMJ still can come back, then of course.

Basically the strategy that Dodgers did with Kershaw...

Man talk about a steal. The odds weren't great tonight with Kluber going against Peacock but I'm glad the Stros pulled it out!

Astros need to win one of next two.

And also win series against Cubs and Rangers.

    Eek.

Really comes down to dominating the last stretch of games.

Reminds me of one season in the 90s against the Reds. They picked up Ron Gant in the off season and he killed us.

The wild card is going to come back to us with so many games being played between wild card competitors down the stretch. 90 wins would still be my goal, but that is taking 2 of 3 the rest of the way (obviously we could lose a series, but then have to sweep a series to make up).

Sweeping the Indians would be fantastic because it would bring them back into play.

I honestly think 88 wins will get a WC (90 should be the goal)...bc of the fact that Boston/Baltimore/Toronto and Detroit/Cleveland will all be beating up on each other.

I'd like to finish the season going 10-6 against the Mariners, Angels, and A's. If we do that (very obtainable), then we need to win 4 of the next 8 against the Indians, Cubs, and Rangers...that'll get us to 88.

Sweeping the Indians would be HUGE.

If they sweep the Indians, that would put them at a 12-2 record vs. Baltimore and Cleveland.

While the statistical-anomalous H-2-H against the Rangers is currently keeping them out of the playoffs, this equally anomalous stretch could put them back in.

    Even-steven.

It's crazy we have been so bad against Texas. That's a mid 90's winning percentage against everyone else. Need to finish off Cleveland the next two days heading into an extremely important homestand
