You don't seem to understand basic English very well. If someone pays some taxes, then the statement "they don't pay taxes" is not correct. This is something you should have learned around the 3rd grade. No, actually it's a pretty universal consensus from economics on all sides of the political spectrum, partisan political group "studies" not withstanding. Did you even read the Heritage Foundation study you cite? Hint: It doesn't aim to determine the net benefit of immigrants (illegal or legal) on GDP or Wages. In fact, it doesn't address that issue *at all*.
I just explained this which you conveniently glossed over: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10678632&postcount=7648 No, it's not universal consensus. That study I gave doesn't comment on GDP and wages, only taxes, but it is a contrarian view. The comment about the GDP and wage depression is from me.
Your explanation doesn't make sense. If I said "I don't eat apples", it means I don't eat any apples. it would not be reasonable to interpret that as "I only eat some apples."
How does that make me a traitor when my ancestors were in Texas before it was the United States? Wouldn't that make you a traitor to the Republic of Texas, or Mexico, or Spain? What's so wrong about wanting my country back?
The context is not the same. It's read in the same way as "you don't come to class" or "you don't brush your teeth". What is it with you stupid people?
If you want to make a case for independence, fine. But if you want to be Mexican, you can do that right now.
The case for independence is a legal dead end. The reconquista is something entirely different and (only slightly) less absurd. If you want to be a European, you can see if anyone will take you.
Americans do not pay all taxes. They dodge certain taxes when able. That's a factual statement and you'd be an idiot not to. Examples: Back to school sales weekend. Online ordering when it avoided sales tax. No estate or state income tax in the state of Texas along with six other states that don't pay state income tax. There are many other examples where the wealthy are available to circumvent taxes by owning property and conducting business in certain locations the poor do not have access to. You blame depressed wages on illegal immigrants when the GOP fought against raising the minimum wage for the poor working class. It's classic misdirection. The simple fact is this. Illegal immigrants have been deported at a far faster rate under Obama's terms more than any other President in history and you think our government is being lazy and a wall will fix it.
It makes sense. Maybe there's a problem with you. Again, context. There's legal and illegal tax evasion. Obviously, with regards to illegal immigrants, we're talking about the latter.
There is plenty you are missing on taxes. Everyone who buys things usually pays sales tax. Many illegal immigrants who work have income taxes automatically deducted from their paychecks. But because they aren't residents will not file for their refund. So they are actually paying more taxes than legal residents.
