They should have cut Akeem Dent.

 

Wot? Cut dent for a player that they don't even want on the practice squad, that would be a stupid move.

 

Feel good about the last few cuts with Hunt sticking around.

Hilliard, W Williams, Cliett are interesting snubs

Rashad, Bundrage, Nelson & Slade are great picks

 

I was under the impression that Cliett was getting other offers from other teams, and the longshot of signing him here was more due to the fact that he will probably sign somewhere with less depth, competition for a roster spot

I guess no need for a PS QB when you have 3 QBS. Would have loved Hogan.

 

Agreed. Or would be nice to deal Weeden to pickup Hogan.. Top 3 QBs should be your starter, experienced vet, and then young project.

Was there no player (such as an OL or ILB) cut by another team who the Texans should be looking at adding to their 53-man roster? Seems the odds would've dictated SOMEONE fitting that description.

 

Yeah, Im concerned about the OL and also DE (I like Covington a lot, but Im not a fan of the depth behind him). I really wanted to have Bergstrom replaced after seeing his dumpster fire performance in the preseason.

 

Is it possible we are trying to offer an extension for Hopkins before the season begins, and whatever is left over, we will offer it to an available FA?

Or maybe the FO is not comfortable committing to someone long term.

 

Texans don't negotiate contracts during the season so nothing will be done till after the end of the season. They (agent and Texans) may talk about things, if that...
