    I bet this judge sentences plenty of first time drug offenders to jail.

    That's the part I don't get. I feel like there's too much ambiguity in the justice system. To me, it should be like "rape = 7 years, murder is 25 years, etc." Just go ahead and put sentences in stone, and be done with it.

    Absolute traveshamockery of the justice system. I agree with the set sentencing mentioned earlier. If you do the crime, you can do the time.

    This case and the "affluenza" case are great images of the problems with the justice system that don't seem to get as much play as some of the other cases we have had recently. Though I guess saying obviously guilty white kid that got off WAY to dang easy doesn't create the same kind of division as not so obviously guilty(until investigation is complete) black kid was killed by police(that is later found to be justified).
