Heart of our order doesn't even put up a fight. That was pathetic.

Altuve sure doesn't deserve the mvp now.

Oh yeah it's definitely psychological as well at this point. Hinch is a big part of the failure I believe as well. Not starting Gurriel again was inexcusable. You have to play your better players as much as possible down the stretch, especially with Altuve struggling right now.

Altuve has been in a slump lately. He seems much more impatient at plate. Again, can't beat Rangers unless Springer, Altuve, and Correa show up.

No way you don't have somebody warming up earlier in the pen. Leaving Fister in way too long...at least two batters too long ended up being the difference. It is September. It is why we have 3 long relievers in the pen.

Hinch doesn't have a good feel for the game. He's just not a good manager.

And you need to not give up 10 runs.

Dozens of posts here criticizing the lineup, the hitters... Not a single one focusing on the biggest reason why they lost this game. (And the defacto reason why Luhnow didn't want to give up more assets at the trade deadline).

It bothers me that Gurriel didn't start. If he's available he should be a regular.

Also **** Gomez. Seriously **** that dude.

This team....man it sucks, that when the starter blows a game wide open with a terrible performance, and our team still ends up scoring a lot of runs only to come up just short on a come back.

    Hope the bats continue tomorrow.

Yeah I'm having a hard time watching him play. It wouldn't bother me to see him on pretty much any other team, but his **** eating grin on the Rangers is a punch in the face.

Really am getting tired of the Rangers making us their prison girlfriend.

    And Houston's balls shrink.

Yes, Fister did not pitch well. But, he should have been out of the game after the Beltran HR. Giving up 6 runs in less than 4 innings is more than enough. Not saying Feliz doesn't come in and still not give up runs, but Doug was left in a few batters too long.

Regardless, sometimes, not often, you have to win a game 11-10 or 14-11. My problem is that against the Rangers our big bats mostly disappear. 1-13 with 2 walks from our top 3 guys is not going to get it done, but that's been the rule rather than the exception against Texas.

Hinch is a Zen Buddhist. He sits there, breathes deeply and watches the universe unfold.

Notice that Gomez has a shorter swing. I will bet you that the Rangers noticed this and have worked with him. The Astros had him for over a year no adjustments happened.

How can people complain about the hitting. Ask most pitchers and they'll say they failed their team if their team gave them 8 runs in support and still lost.

Teams do not have a good record when their starting pitcher can't go 4. Regardless of the quality of the lineup.

Also, the Astros just won a game like this 2 weeks ago. There's your "sometimes, not often".

Pitching is the main reason we lost. Fister didn't have it, and was left in too long. He probably needs to be skipped a start for fatigue reasons.

There's no guarantee we score 8 runs, if the game wasn't a blowout. There's different pressure during a blowout and perhaps different Rangers pitchers would've pitched.

Also, unless he did while I was fast forwarding, Gomez didn't fall to a knee or lose his helmet. Unbelievable the discipline our coaching staff does not instill.

if we want to win games sipp can't make an appearance and feliz has to be last resort. Though at the time the game looked way out of hand.

I'm not even going to blame fister. I noticed in the first 2 innings that the ump took away his pitching style by narrowing that strike zone. Only LMc has the stuff to over power people.
The Deadline moves and the ump are just too much. Altuve being in a slump doesn't help either.
