Shorts, a running back, and dent would be my picks

With this. Grimes is the weakest link

Every back has produced. Actually forgot Hilliard was still around. Hed be the first back I'd let go. Weeden next and then Dent or Shorts.

Lots of these cuts could net Rick 6th or 7th Rd picks if he can work deals.

    Hilliard was already cut earlier.

Grimes isn't going anywhere. Last night was a tryout for the last RB spot which Hilliard lost. Grimes not playing means his spot is safe. There's probably discussion about the defensive line and 3rd QB.

    Blue doesn't add anything

    Still is horrible

And mumph will never see the field unless he's returning kicks and he isn't even very good at that

You need a backup. Even more so when Ervin hasn't been perfect. I don't remember if Hunt or Braxton returned punts in the preseason. I know they did in practice. If Ervin muffs one or gets hurt; you need someone to take his place. I think that's why either Shorts or Mumphrey makes it.

One or the other is definitely going to make...just depends on which traits the team values more.

I'd be surprised if it's just 3, I think that they'll go down to 52 or 51 and sign a guy or two.

Hunt, Still, and Shorts if it's up to me, with Bergstrom and Weeden coming next if there are guys out there to pick up.

Wrong. Blue is the best pass protector of any back. He's also shown numerous times that he can handle 15-25 carries a game and surpass 100+ yards a game. He's the tough physical guy you want getting carries if a game is far out of reach.

Still and Mumphrey have been among the best on the team so far. It's wierd too even include them, they are not getting cut

Still is not better than Watt, he has been outplayed by Covington, doesn't play special teams like Dunn and can't play the NT like Wilfork and Reader. He is definitely on the bubble.

Mumphrey is behind Hopkins, Fuller, Strong, and Braxton. I don't know how you can come up with a statement like "Still and Mumphrey have been among the best on the team so far".

Is it strange we still haven't heard anything on remaining cuts?

No, that have until tomorrow to get down to 53. And the team will still be in flux on the bottom end of the roster until Monday or so.
