No lawyer would think that in any way applied to the situation of Trump visiting the President of Mexico and asking about Mexico paying for the wall, since it isn't an issue currently up before any body in the United States.

Part of our values has to do with supporting and trying to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

The last time there was a law passed with an ideological test for immigrants, the Supreme Court tossed it.

It isn't constitutional.

Anyway, whether you or I see a difference or believe the citizenship test is an equivalent ideological test as what Trump is asking for in regards to immigrants, it doesn't matter. The Supreme Court has ruled on the matter, and it isn't constitutional.

As an American, I'm going to support the Constitution. I'm also going to support a president who will uphold the oath of office. The oath office calls on the President to uphold and defend the Constitution.
