I got spoiled in my youth getting to watch guys like Ausmus. I didn't appreciate the job he did behind the plate until he was gone. Adam Everett too, nothing got past him except opposing pitcher's fastballs lol...

 

Astros should score 5+ today.

Fiers getting hit hard, D though kinda not helping either.

 

Marisnick mis-play... not stellar defense out there today thus far.

 

Defense definitely isn't helping but Fiers is giving up hard contact. And he gets rattled so easily.

 

fiers does get rattled easily but should have been out of the inning with only one run given. baseball.

 

Gattis does have a hose though.

 

So if you are Hinch, do you just let Fiers get his brained bashed and take the loss, or do you pull him, waste your pen and hope you get back into the game.

 

You pull him. Off day tomorrow and gotta manage every game here on out like it is a must win.

 

Put in Brad Peacock and hope for the best.

it's only 3-0 through 3. No one is out of the game, so it should be managed to win.

 

It is manageable at this point because he got out of a bases loaded, 1 out jam. I am still not feeling all that great though, because through 3 innings the A's have had 7 base runners. Maybe he settles down, but I have to think he has a very short leash.
