right play in my mind--focus is on getting the lead runner out, and throwing it so far when he's caught up gives him a shot at sprinting to whichever bag you don't throw to. Run at the runner until he makes a decision.

 

I thought Teoscar was supposed to be a 2nd baseman.

 

You are taught to run at the runner and run him back to the bag he came from before you make a throw.

 

you're at risk of essentially being humiliated by the other team. i don't see why any measure to prevent that humiliation isn't fair game.

Gurriel and Bregman have pretty much been the offense tonight.

 

I hope that this winter they have Teo and Yuli ductaped together. Yuli reminds me of Moises Alou, Teo has that kind of talent.

 

Yep. And Alou was only one year younger when the Astros acquired him.

 

Yeah the influx of those two and Bregman has really improved the offense.
