If it was Game 7 of the WS, who would you rather have behind the plate: Joe West, CB Bucknor or Angel Hernandez?
Altuve in a mini-slump; 3-21 with 0 hits last 3 games. Batting average .366 to .356. He'll recover within his next 10 ABs. Great that the offense is producing mostly without him.
Altuve bobblehead, wtf lol <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This guy doesn't have a hit today (yet), but the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> still lead 4-0 in the fourth. <a href="https://t.co/t7ZSPwQaOc">pic.twitter.com/t7ZSPwQaOc</a></p>— Jordan Ray (@JordanLRay) <a href="https://twitter.com/JordanLRay/status/769693940819767296">August 28, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
jake, so special out there Also, credit to teoscar--i saw him hustle to cut the ball off in the OF last inning. Really the first time
web gem. never understood why bunting to break up a no-hitter is an unwritten no-no. that's nonsense. and the question was confusing. does that mean fans approve or disapprove of it?
question re: challenges. If the Astros were to challenge the ruling at 1st and get it reversed, what happens to the other runner who was eventually tagged out? Back at 2nd, or still out?
I actually loved it. If Correa waited until the lead runner went back to 2nd and there were 2 guys on 2nd, Correa could tag the lead runner first and the trail runner 2nd quickly in succession. The lead runner *might* think he's the one who's out since he was the first one tagged...but he isn't by rule since he's the lead runner. Then if he leaves the bag thinking he was out, you tag him for the delayed DP
Depends on the score. If it's a winnable game, all bets are off, if you're getting your brains beat in it kinda chickensh@t.
clever. also, did marwin actually make the correct play there holding the ball and running it across the diamond? seems like a throw gives you a much better shot at holding the runner at 1st.
Tampa announcers are giving all kinds of love to MMP. I guess if I spent half my time in the Rays stadium, I would too.
