Where will your favorite team rank in the AFC South per position group? I'm probably off on quite a few of these. QB 1. Colts 2. Titans 3. Jaguars 3. Texans RB 1. Titans 2. Texans 3. Jaguars 4. Colts WRs 1. Texans 2. Jaguars 3. Colts 4. Titans OL 1. Colts 2. Titans 3. Texans 4. Jaguars DL 1. Texans 2. Jaguars 3. Titans 4. Colts Secondary 1. Texans 2. Colts 3. Jaguars 4. Titans Overall Offense 1. Jaguars 2. Colts 2. Texans 4. Titans Overall Defense 1. Texans 2. Titans 3. Jaguars 4. Colts
Texans last on qb even though we have the only champion lol... Luck is so overrated. Yeah he's good. I'd take bortles over mariota too.
In Order... QB: Colts, Jags, Titans, Texans RB: Texans, Titans, Jags, Colts WR: Jags, Texans, Colts, Titans OL: Titans, Colts, Jags, Texans (because of injuries) DL: Texans, Jags, Titans, Colts Coach: Texans, Colts, Jags, Titans
Bortles is who I think is overrated. Luck has accomplished much more than any of the other QBs in the division.
It's a prediction, not a fact. Based on what we know and have seen, we try to project how all four teams will do. Of course we know and have seen more about some units than others.
What's the point of doing this now?? We know absolutely nothing about any of the teams in our division. All we can do is assess the questions from each team, and try to glean what we can from that. - The Colts are coming off a terrible year where Luck was injured most of the season. They are HOPING for a big bounce back from him (and the team), but there are no guarantees with that defense and offensive line. - Even though everybody is anointing the Jaguars as the next up-and-coming team, they are a big fat UNKNOWN at this point. Bortles looks like he's taking steps in the right direction, but can he cut down on the turnovers? Yes, they have a ton of talent on defense, but putting it all together is a different story. They are young, and will make mistakes. - As a roster, the Titans have the least talent in the division. Mariota has shown flashes of brilliance, but he's also shown a propensity to make costly mistakes at important junctures of the game. Again, offensive line and defense are huge question marks, as is overall talent around Mariota. Their running game looks like it could be powerful, but that doesn't directly equate to wins. - We all know the question marks surrounding the Texans, and the injuries to the offensive line only make the waters even murkier. What we do know is that Osweiler is surrounded by probably the most talent this team has ever had on offense....what we don't know is whether that can translate to points. The defense looks stacked as ever, and they're hoping that Larry Izzo can rectify our putrid special teams. It all comes down to execution, and being able to play smart, clean football.
QB 1. Colts 1. Jaguars 1. Titans 1. Texans RB 1. Texans - only due to the fact that the Texans will actually have leads and will be able to run the ball. 2. Titans 3. Jaguars 4. Colts WRs 1. Texans 2. Jaguars 3. Colts 7. Titans OL ? DL 1. Texans 2. Jaguars 3. Titans 4. Colts Secondary 1. Texans 2. Colts 3. Jaguars 12. Titans Overall Offense 1. Texans 2. Colts 3. Jaguars 53. Titans Overall Defense 1. Texans 2. Jaguars 42. Titans 43. Colts Overall Team 1. Texans 3. Jaguars 4 Colts 1073. Titans
Football is unlike basketball and baseball where the most important element probably is the coach. A great coach can't turn a team around in one year, because he needs to sign and draft players that will fit in his system; but give it three years and the team will truly take on the personality of its coach. This year is the time where we'll see what we really have in O'Brien. Between Luck Mariota and Bortles we've got guys picked #1 2 and 3 respectively, so obviously Osweiler can't measure up to the hype of the others. Still, none of it will matter if our system is superior.
QB: 4th until real games are played RB: 2nd WR: 1st TE: 5th OL: ??? DL: 1st LB: 1st DB: 1st ST: ??? Coach: 1st GM: 1st
OP, you have the jags ranked as the best overall offense but they don't lead any of your offensive categories and are 3rd or 4th in all but WRs. Is it their TEs that put them over the top?
I did. What do I know? lol They do have really good receivers and a pretty good (not great) 1-2 punch in their running game. When I think of the Titans, their passing game is weak. The Colts running game is weak. The Texans passing game has weapons but a lot of new moving parts. The Jags just seemed to have the most balanced offense but I probably should have them #2 instead of #1.
