At least you didn't deny it. Anyways, back to the real topic. Please carry on guys with some more Gomez talk. I would love to enjoy some more.
You never came across as a bad person before But that is a disgusting thing to say about someone Hope no one in your family ever has to deal with that, I've had one in my family that has unfortunately
Right! Sometime this October, we don't know when, we don't know how, the Cubs will spectacularly flame out in a blaze of dipsh@ttery. It will be spoken of on the banks of Lake Michigan for generations. Somehow yall will find a way to blame it on Carlos Gomez.
So that makes it cool to wish it on others? I'll get out of the conversation, I just don't see it as being cool to wish Illness and potentially fatal diseases on people because of their play on the field To each their own I suppose
Ha, probably. That's really all we can expect as fans given their history. Well, if they get far enough to meet the Rangers in the WS, I'll take it. Although, I'm sure Cubs fans won't be the only ones upset at Gomez if he is indeed the reason the Rangers win. I will enjoy that too. Win-Win for me. You've seen the real side of Nook. There's plenty more if you just read around the board. He is essentially the Bill O'Reilly of Clutchfans.
I have several family members that have diabetes... Indeed there is a real strong chance that I will end up diabetic based on genetics. My grandfather was very fit and lost a foot to diabetes 20 years ago. It isn't any more disgusting than using the expression that you hope someone gets hit by a bus or dies in a fire.
I'm trying to figure this out. You're a Longhorn, so you can't be totally worthless, but yet a Cub/Ranger fan. Cowboys too? Lakers?
It is doubtful he graduated from UT...... He still hasn't listed all the Astros that had career years last season (other than Dallas K) to support his half assed theory the Astros overachieved last season...
I'm a fan of all the teams you hate. I never needed to. I think I explained when I said that what I meant by overachieve is overachieving in terms of expectations from the beginning of the season. I don't think anyone had them making the postseason or even winning 86 games. They were ahead of the curve. You seem to take it as an insult for some reason though. Don't be so sensitive my friend.
Gomez going deep in his first AB might be the best thing to happen for us Astros fans. Now he's going to think he can do it in every AB which will give them the same results he gave us. Also, that pitcher he hit it off of gives up a $hit ton of homeruns. He gave him a fat, hanging, breaking ball that most MLB players would hit out. Sure he hardly hit him for us, but let's not act like he just went 3-4 off Chris Sale.
