wondering where Luke is and what his role is right now. He was faring well in the 8th before hitting the DL. Now he's back, has pitched twice in the last 10 days, and they went to Devo for the 7th today. Or if Neshek had gotten through the 6th clean, would it have been Luke in the 7th?

If their % is as bad as Giles, indeed.

Regarding Ken specifically, today was his first time not surrendering a run in any 9th inning save situation.

Props to him and hopefully just the beginning.

If they had nuts on their chin, would they have chin nuts?

With 6 games against Dallas left the Astros control their own fate. They need to go 5-1 in those games and win all of their other series at least 2 out of 3.

How is that controlling thier own destiny? They have no control of the Rangers other 35 games. They have no control over the 4 teams ahead of them in the Wildcard.

Lol "control their own fate"? I don't think that means what you think it means.

Technically, it may be possible to control our own destiny if you cross referenced all teams schedules ahead of us. For instance, the three AL East teams ahead of us play each other several times and they also play against the Tigers & Royals, so they can't all win out.

I don't think we would control our own destiny even then, just saying it can happen sometimes.

Saw earlier today that the Rangers have a -2 run differential yet are 20 games above .500 with the most wins in the AL

Rangers have been putting a lot than just dicks in their mouths to pull that off. It's unbelievable

Win small lose big. Only way their RS gets them 20 games over .500

Those that say RS is a predictor say they will come back to earth. But for 1 3/4 seasons, havent seen it.

If your a Rangers homer, you would probably say what is out of whack is losing as big as they do at times and that their w/s record is real.

Best hope for Rangers trades might be their prospects doing well.
    ___

    Royals about to lose
    Rangers up ONE late
    Orioles up late
    Sox tied late
SEA lost - Yanks won... good overall

Unless those prospects help beat teams we are chasing I don't see how that helps us

You know trades can't be judged for years.

Hopefully Rangers gave up a couple studs.... Lucroy and Beltran's not re-signing would be nice too, but unlikely.
