It was a tough pick but you are right, a good fielding 1B probably picks it. That said, Reed isn't going to be that guy.

I like Reed at 1B, he's surprisingly nimble for a disgusting fatbody.

Welcome to Round Rock, @RealCarlosGomez! A two-run triple in the top of the third inning gives the #RRExpress a 2-0 lead!

1B is an easy position to play competently, it's a tough position to play well.

I've been impressed with Reed's picks actually. Have we been watching the same guy?

If you saw him naked I think you would be impressed with his physique.

Agree that they are bland, but the guy called that last play as if he was hoping Bregman made it. He was PUMPED when he came up with the ball.

I've rewound and rewatched a good 10 times so far.

It was a more of a statement in response to "I wish we would stop putting anyone out there" and that he's not a good overall fielder, certainly not a Jeff Bagwell out there. Never said he wouldn't pick it, just said he wasn't a good fielder.

We won and people are complaining about the last out of the game.

I don't think Reed necessarily makes the stretching pick. I'd give him the same shot Marwin had on that one in particular. Things involving more footwork, as well as grounders, are where I give Marwin the edge.

I know I'm thankful that David Freese stupidly tried to advance a base with 2 outs in the 9th down 2 runs. That base meant nothing.

Marwin fields the ball better, and stretches better, but Reed is the bigger target.

We've had at least 3 gaffs at first base that I can remember.

The Rangers gaff, last night Reed's gaff, and now Marwin. This is getting to be a problem. I don't know what needs to be done, but I do think that reed is better than Marwin there.
