So the people that are actually respecting the speed limit are the problem? Also, every conversation I have with people about this, they always bring up the far left lane slow pokes. LOL. houston peddle to the floor drivers look for any lane that they can to drive fast on. They have no concept of passing lanes, because if they need to they will dart to the right hand lane; hit the gas, move to the center lane to get around the right-hand-lane guy and then back to the left lane and if there is someone in that lane they will rinse and repeat. At no time did they ever consider hitting the break. lol
The people that don't know freeway etiquette are the problem. There are many lanes on these freeways for a reason. When you see a lane going faster than you're driving, there's no reason for you to get in it and impede the free flow of the lane. The reason that happens so much is because of what I basically said. Too many slower drivers venture in the far left lanes and thus cause these faster drivers having to maneuver around with other lanes. Houston driving isn't for everyone, that much I know. Too many stupid drivers out there.
lol, okay. I agree that the quote slow drivers cause other driver to act like idiots. But slow, in this case, is a relative term.
Until I was 25, RAGE!!! But that was long ago. It's really not worth raging on the road even though it cuts down drive time. I bet most people are a combo Greg/Aggressive when needed like me.
I'm an aggressive driver, but not in the since of being in a constant rush or reckless. I just can't stand being on the road, surrounded by morons on their phones, not understanding traffic law, or driving without common sense. So typically, I just drive around 10+ mph faster than the speed limit. Staying away from as many people as possible. I can't stand the pack mentality of most drivers. Especially in Houston, where a huge portion of the population can't drive for ****. A year ago my truck was totalled. I wasn't even moving. Sitting at a red light for about 30 seconds and a dumbass on his phone just drives right into the back of my truck. His speedometer was broke and registering 60mph. My fiance and I were lucky as hell to escape with some bruising/soreness. I ****ing hate Houston drivers with a passion. I already have severe road rage due to it, and I find that just driving faster than everyone else (within reason) keeps me from acting on it. I had a moment a while back that required me to permanently remove my gun from my car, due to the ever increasing drivers that piss me off. Nearly went ballistic.

Another more appropriate question would be: Where does "what" drive? When does "what"' drive"? Where do the rest of you drive? How can I avoid all of you?
GGG, well mainly... unless in hurry, I mean I'm usually doing 5+ over (or more depending on flow of traffic) but will gladly move over from left lane (if I'm impeding or not passing) for the guys doing 10-20+. No highway hero here, lol. And why not let people in (especially if they're merging correctly, you know with a blinker). We have to share the road (even in Houston )
I'm GGG. I signal anytime I'm switching lanes or turning. There are a couple things that irk me though. 1. Drivers unaware their signal light is on and they're looking down at their phone. 2. Ppl that you can tell aren't paying attention because they're looking at their phone. I pretty much hate you if you're looking down at your phone.
Other. I'm a "golden rule" driver. I treat people the way they treat me. If you drive like a normal adult and you signal, of course I'm going to let you in. If you drive like an a-hole and try to cut, not letting you in. If you're behind me and I need to change lanes, I'm going to signal, check my mirrors, then change lanes. If you're riding my ass, I'm going to slam on my brakes for no particular reason. I used to be an aggressive driver, then I grew up. Being pissed off at the world is no way to go through life. That includes driving.
Sometimes, I will rage. Usually, it's cause by slow drivers in the fast lane and multiple offenders. But, yea, my driving is shaped by drivers around me. A Grandma literally ran me off the freeway last week. That didn't sit well but, when I caught up to her to give her some words, she didn't even acknowledge me. Her head was straight ahead and I realized she doesn't move her head to look when changing lanes...so I just drove off. She obviously shouldn't be on the road but, after trying to kill me, I'll just let her kill someone else eventually. Changing lanes like the freeway is empty is a surefire way to get someone killed. That damn old age tunnel vision I guess.
Lately I been using my horn a lot. I fkn hate the drivers that do a dead stop to turn left or right while traffic is flowing!
Don't slam on your brakes brah. I saw a road fight not too long ago out here in LA with some brake slammers. Had us all behind them swerve out of the lane because traffic was slowing/stopping for no reason other than these two idiots fighting. Then homie in the Durango sped off like a mother****er.
If you actually drive the speed limit in Houston, it would take you 2 hours to get anywhere. Our city is ****ing huge.
