    We do when they riot and start attacking every black person in a particular neighborhood.

    Really not sure why this whole situation is so shocking. It happened in an area that is overwhelmingly poor and black. The news is constantly reporting on police violence involving black people. The power structure in the US is a majority white. So race certainly plays a part in this on both sides.
