Ryan Lochte and 3 other white guys walk into a gas station and destroy property= Kids making mistake while drunk. Michael Brown stealing some cigars = Thug. If a security guard held Brown at gunpoint demanding payment for the cigars people would cheer him on.
I still don't get how this comparison even started. Been seeing some of it on twitter too. Makes zero sense to me. Literally the only thing I see in common between both situations are that they happened on a gas station's premises.
You don't get how people are finding excuses for Lochte and him being held and asked for payment for destroyed property? People are saying, "Well he did kind of get robbed", "that's extortion". What excuses did Mike Brown supporters use when it showed him stealing cigars? Did they say the owner was in the wrong for trying to stop Brown?
Just watched the Final Women's Badminton with the very proud Indian parents. Surprisingly, a pretty intense sport. Props to Spain on winning the gold, and PV Sindhu for bringing India its first silver for a woman in any sport. I first watched the Olympics in 2000 at 8 years old, and I don't think I really cared too much for it, but I don't think I really appreciated the games as much as this year. These Olympics have been fun as hell. It's cool to see these countries come together and compete like this. Solidarity at its finest. If only we could fight our wars like this...
Which people? What I've mostly seen is people tearing him apart for not being honest from the beginning and then also tearing him apart for making the U.S. apart.. at least on twitter. That's what I've seen with the majority of tweets I've come across regarding this whole thing. I'm not even sure how Mike Brown got into this thing, but it really doesn't make sense to me at all because the situations are apples to oranges.
lol.. thanks for sharing... how old is that coach? he doesnt look too young.. it wouldn't be so funny if she accidentally injured him
lol it was so 'traumatic' out late with his friends that he just couldn't hold it in and had to take a leak on private property
I would legitimately watch volleyball regularly as a big sports with city teams, etc. if the matches were all like that US-Italy one. Too bad US lost, but super enjoyable match.
in the gold medal game, has sweden tried to score yet? i sure hope not. as someone who doesn't watch a ton of soccer, nothing would get me into soccer more than knowing how easy it is for an inferior team to just sit back and force super-exciting 0-0 ties and then wait for penalty kicks.
Watched that for a while this afternoon. Crazy how athletic those guys are. Just from the little I watched (and from the time these two played earlier in the tournament), I can tell that the guy on Italy who looks like the WWE wrestler Sheamus is the type of guy you love if he's on your team and hate if he's on the other team. After just about every kill or successful block, he goes down onto one knee and lets out a primal scream.
Dude is BAUS!!! He's actually Russian but born in Italy, his dad's a 2 time gold medalist in 76/80. He single handed won that match by serving Italy back into the game when they were on the ropes at 17-22 in set 4, like a BAUS!! He's a dead ringer for Walt on BB also but like a totally yoked up Walt!
I didn't think the women would win the 4x100. The Jamaicans had an all-star roster. How can running from lane 1 be that much of a disadvantage when you can see everyone ahead of you? I think running from 8 would be much harder since there is no one ahead of you to gauge your lead.
