It's so funny to read PDS giving positive feedback on camp (and most others honestly) and then hear Brian T. Smith on the radio sound very negative. If you want to get a negative view on the Texans, listen to Sean Jones, Adam Clanton and Brian T. Smith. They just laugh at each other taking shots at the Texans.
isn't Pat historically pretty even keeled and not overly optimistic? I want to give Sean Jones credit for being a pragmatist but I can't help but think he's transferring resentment of the oilers to the texans.
Texans? Try anything. I've listened to them since they started and I can't think of one thing they've talked about that they didn't say negative things or bi*** about. Then you have Adam who acts like a whiny school girl getting into it with other teams' fans over the same things he does himself. Plus he talks out of both sides of his mouth and complains about both sides. He calls Harden a "stat-stuffing loser" and then months later is bit**ing about how the media dogs James and leaves him off the All-NBA teams. I finally had enough. If one of them is out, it's somewhat bearable, but they both act as if they are the smartest people in the room, everyone else are idiots and I just couldn't stand the constant complaining about EVERY single thing anymore.
Tom Savage is the #2 backup behind Osweiler right now. Savage has had 3 years in the system, giving him the advantage per OB. #TexansCamp — Deepi Sidhu (@DeepSlant) August 18, 2016
Y'all telling me this just when I was thinking about switching from 610. Only shows I can listen to on there are Seth/Mike and sometimes the triple threat.
At least Nick Wright is gone... right? I just moved back and havent heard him.. He was my least favorite. I like Dante Hall, thats the only reason I listen to triple threat. Seth and Mike, then sometime Paul G. are my usuals.
Cannot practice with the team when on IR. Not sure how it affects watching film with coaches and all that
Galant's voice is annoying. The triple threat is Ted Johnson, Sean P, and Rich Lord. Dante Hall is with John Lopez and Cody Stoots. I can only stand so much of John Lopez.
You're right you can't practice, but I'm almost positive you can be in the film room and be getting mental reps with the coaches and other QBs. I'll correct myself if wrong.
I looked it up, and it basically just says they're not allowed to practice or play in games. They can watch film, communicate with coaches, and I'm pretty sure they can do everything at practice except put on the uniform and play.
I remember hearing somewhere that they let him attend all the Quarterback meetings and one of the coaches gave him the game plan each week and let him study it like he was going to be the starter. Savage said it helped him a lot.
Has our Qb situation improved from last year? PDS – @PatDStat @joshstanleyekc the one thing Osweiler does that the other two did not do, is protect the ball. Not throwing INTs.
Heh, yeah, it's improved a lot. The nightmare of the Fitzpatrick-Hoyer-Mallett years are behind us. No longer will we be hoping the starting QB gets hurt early in order to give the team a chance to win the game.
