Try to read the context of the posts next time. See where it originated. The whole discussion started with it. The post you quoted was someone trying to diminish Team USA's dominance in the olympics. You agreed with the post, hence I had to assume you shared the same opinion.
I did, he stated exact numbers and even said he's not trying to diminish the accomplishments. There's a clear difference between stating facts and diminishing.
He said it was "less impressive" because of the amount of swimming medals. It was clearly trying to diminish. Either way, that's what I thought you were agreeing with.
Damn, sick comeback for the Bronze by Kooch today. Too bad he had a 3-jack par on 16 and left his birdie putt short on 18, or it could've been really special.
This is pretty embarrassing for Brazil for not having proper security for the Olympians . If I were the basketball team, I would definitely not venture out to the strip clubs
It might be similar proportion for GB and track cycling. Track cycling is still happening, but Brits near dominate it, so when it's over, i guess track cycling will acount for most of their golds. I agree that there are too many swimming disciplines. Of course i'm saying this as someone who completely doesn't care for swimming, yet broadcasters here in Lithuania have decided that swimming is the only thing that everyone wants to see this year.
It was one thing when the initial reporting made it seem like Lochte left the area around the village to go somewhere else to a party. That just seemed like reckless behavior. But it is certainly more damning that these guys were just traveling between athlete housing areas.
Nah, this is on them -- they should have hired a security detail and private car when they went out partying.
