Well that's why teams have a limited amount of challenges. I'd rather they get it right. Also, them getting a chance to confirm still saves time as opposed to them challenging anything they feel doesn't go their way, even if it's obvious. I think they could make it even faster. Like it is in tennis. Do away with the headsets, and just have a replay crew at every game. Umps can also challenge calls at their discretion, so they still have a role.
i'm all for pulling pitchers when they're tired/ it's not their day but that was not mchugh calling that shift.
At 95 pitches and has 2 on with 1 out in a 1 run game. I think it's time regardless of how it happened given that it's McHugh--let someone help him out of this jam.
Could go either way. They do have a short bullpen, so I would have liked him to try and go 6, provided he wasn't getting hit hard. If Hoyt can get out of this, I'm putting in Feliz to start the 7th... and if he's rolling, let him roll.
