and even though it's already been mentioned, watching these games makes you appreciate just what a good passer lebron is and how much he would help this team. the inability of even the better shot creators on this team to not throw even decent passes is amazing. i don't expect them to make great passes, but the passes they try to force or the passes they don't notice is problematic. and then just the general degree to which even the well-planned passes are often off target is also bad. probably the most underrated part of lebron's passing is just how on target he is, especially on longer/cross-court passes.
Judging from the tweets about PG play and the statistics, this team seems to be relying on talent as opposed to team play again. The best assist man is Irving with 4.3..
In addition to this team severely lacking playmakers, seems like Coach K can't find the right group of guys to play together. His lineups haven't been good at all. Even made a mistake at the end of the Serbia game leaving Kyrie in for the last defensive possession.
This group isn't exactly the top tier talent they were supposed to go with and factor in its basically the whole team that is new to international play with the exception of kd and Melos experience it shouldn't be surprising they will have there struggles from time to time. People are just use to them blowing teams out. Also tbh people criticizing coaching is pretty overrated. Most of the time these guys are basically coaching themselves with maybe some suggestions from the staff but the coaching is minimal compared to an NBA game
It's crazy but Nene is a breath of fresh air compared to Howard. He can sit a pick, roll and actually score. He has a decent hook shot, post moves and can make FTs.
Nene doing work, great up and under move in the paint! If Capela hasn't improved, I really want this guy to start.
Very good game between Brazil and Argentina. Maybe hope for some OT. Also like the new shot clock rule, it resets to 14 seconds and not a full 24. I think the NBA should adopt it.
Real good game that deserves OT. Nocioni got a little lucky with this clutch shot, still great comeback. Although Nene is a Rocket, I can't root against Scola.
Dammit. Nene had a chance to be the hero and should've taken the last shot instead of pass it up. Oh well its overtime now.
Scola is really done, sorry..that key TO almost lost them the game. He cannot defend anything anymore either. Awesome way to force OT! I like the Argentinian PG and really, Nene is Brazil best player this game.
