By publicly asking for them, in essence he is encouraging current and future hacking of email, so in reality, he did encourage espionage... at the vest least illegal actions.
Question for Trump supporters who believe in the narrative Trump is trying to sell that Hillary will destroy this country. How do you cogntitive dissonance your way out of this statement of his:https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-lose-back-very-good-000000734.html -“All I do is tell the truth. And if at the end of 90 days I fall short because I’m somewhat politically [incorrect] even though I’m supposed to be the smart one and even though I’m supposed to have a lot of good ideas, it’s OK. You know, I go back to a very good way of life.” So someone who is propagating a notion that Hillary will destroy this country just flat out stated that he'll be fine and living the good life while his country falls to pieces? How do you cope with knowing that your candidate is a bull****er to the core?
They are referring to Trump inviting Russian hackers to track down Hillary Clinton's 30,000 deleted emails and turn them over to the FBI. Hardly espionage against the United States, certainly not an attack on our country, but you try to paint a political opponent in the worst light possible.
So, the view from the right is *now* that Hillary's emails as SoS are not something that can be tangibly linked to "the United States" - I guess all of those investigations and all the recriminations about her email were similarly based on the fraudulent premise that the government has some sort of interest in their content?
LOL The actor who voices Zapp Brannigan reads Donald Trump quotations. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Zapp presents...Famous Quotations from Donald J Trump<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MakeAmericaBrannigan?src=hash">#MakeAmericaBrannigan</a> <a href="https://t.co/O3wWOSNHBC">pic.twitter.com/O3wWOSNHBC</a></p>— Billy West (@TheBillyWest) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheBillyWest/status/763839080308150272">August 11, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">ZAPP presents...Famous Trump Quotations! <a href="https://t.co/cFq1rQ4veY">pic.twitter.com/cFq1rQ4veY</a></p>— Billy West (@TheBillyWest) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheBillyWest/status/763531951827357696">August 11, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Zapp presents...Famous Quotations from Donald J Trump<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MakeAmericaBrannigan?src=hash">#MakeAmericaBrannigan</a> <a href="https://t.co/kbaV8rIkwK">pic.twitter.com/kbaV8rIkwK</a></p>— Billy West (@TheBillyWest) <a href="https://twitter.com/TheBillyWest/status/763835095320891393">August 11, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> more at the link.
Trump is such a scam artist. lol There is a strong possibility that he will just keep all the millions he has collected in campaign contributions for his personal use. He is not spending any money on ads and very little on the "ground game". He might go down as the biggest swindler of all time, making Trump University look like small change. Perhaps they will change the law and make these folks give theirm money back or give it to charity.
Many people are saying, not just anybody, but people who know, smart people, people huuuuge in the business, who are saying he may be diverting campaign funds to his own family and NAMBLA.
This is awesome. Times are getting so tough that they're asking for THREE DOLLAR donations for a chance to go to NY to talk campaign strategy over lunch with Eric Trump. Guess those poor billies have no more money to spend after wasting it all on hats, tshirts, and buttons. lololololololololololololololol [http://i.imgur.com/nZTt1HD.png[/img]
What would you call Russia hacking U.S. State Department computers or the personal computers of the Secretary of State? That is espionage. And espionage is an attack. And the Pentagon lists cyberattacks as attacks on our country and a national security issue. And the U.S. is dealing with on going cyber attacks from both Russia and China. No need to paint Trump in the worst light possible. He is the worst light possible. And I do not want my country led by a racist demagogue who will say anything to get power. I don't do team politics so you won't find a post history of hyperbole directed toward the other team. What you will find is an alarm raised by a xenophobic megalomaniac who loosely courts hatred and fear to build his base. In this case, this wannabe despot has me throwing as much support as possible behind a candidate I don't truly believe in but is the best chance to block Trump getting his opportunity to be king. He invited Russia to "find" those 30,000+ emails that Trump has maintained may contain classified data. That is wreckless. Especially when federal sources were leaking the hackers in question were associated with the Russian government. And this is part of the problem with Trump: his words and actions are so out of bounds that 1) you have trouble believing he would have actually said, meant, or done "that" and 2) in condemning his ridiculous behavior, you yourself can easily be painted as an extremist. We need to sink this clown hard to block future demagogues. This is seriously dangerous to our civil society and our democracy. Trump is very cynical in his approach to his base. He believes he can say and do no wrong and they will blindly support him. Hell, after spending a day claiming Obama "literally" "founded ISIS", he is now back tracking and saying it was sarcasm the media blew out of proportion. Whatever. It was a cynical gambit to play on fear and so happens to be the same claim/conspiracy theory the Russians happen to use to undermine U.S. influence abroad. This doesn't make him a knowing Russian agent. It makes him an idiot who should not sit in the halls of power.
He would not be the first self-funded candidate to do so, but he may just be loaning money to his campaign and will pay off the loans using donated funds. Not really unethical but depending on the terms of the loans, a very consistent thing for Trump to do.
Are you under the impression Hillary Clinton is still the Secretary of State? She hasn't been at that post in years. He was saying if the deleted emails are out in the world, it sure would be nice if someone could find them and turn them over to the FBI, like Clinton was supposed to do. I know you don't, that is why you characterize Trump making a wisecrack about Clinton's deleted emails as a threat to national security. It is why people are saying that Trump has seriously advocated for Hillary to be assassinated. I am no fan of Trump, but you throwing as much support as you can behind Hillary seems to include taking an off the cuff joke as a call for international espionage. It isn't. You will note that the justice department hasn't arrested Trump for treason. Hillary Clinton actually maintained an illegal private server on which to conduct classified business, then deleted some 30,000 emails from the server while being investigated. Trump says wouldn't it be great if the hackers who revealed the corruption at the DNC also had a copy of those emails and turned them over to the FBI. From this you have come to the conclusion that Trump is the national security risk. Okay. Only an extremist would believe that what Trump said was an invitation to Russia to hack US government computers. What authority does Trump have that would make a Russian hack of government computers legal by his invitation. I don't think any president is really that much of a danger to civil society and democracy. No one with two brain cells to rub together thought Obama was actually over in the middle east drawing up a charter for ISIS, nor that Trump believed that. He was saying that Obama's foreign policy allowed ISIS to take root and grow.
It's pretty amusing that Trump needs a whole legion of little ants to go out on a daily basis and explain what he said. It's like Trump is an ESL kid.
With all due respect, I can't believe that you made this long winded defense of Trump, an absurd defense, in my humble opinion, with you busy making excuses for, in this case, two days of the man repeating his slander against the President, two days of Trump dismissing the attempts by even conservative talking heads to give him an out, with Trump only making up his "sarcasm" defense when the blowback became more than he could handle, and then park in the middle of your nonsense that, "I'm no fan of Trump." Yeah, and pigs fly. Can I sell you a bridge over Lady Bird Lake? It would be my pleasure. I keep seeing stupid stuff like this in D&D involving a defense of Trump's increasingly bizarre behavior and his multitude of outright lies, and in so many of them, this being a good example, there's, "I'm no fan of Trump" in the post somewhere. Give me a freakin' break. Oh, and I always wanted to tell you that I like your moniker. Seriously.
Sigh. Really? Come on man. It's not that hard to understand what he was saying that it could misinterpreted.
LOL, I love how Trump supporters constantly start every long series of posts defending every insane thing Trump says (and throwing in a few attacks on Clinton and Obama) with "I am no fan of Trump (but)..."
