Woke up to slashed tires. What is wrong with people?

    I now have slashed tires and have drop about $700 on a tow and new tires. I don't really have enemies or drive like an *******, the only person this could be (if it wasn't random) would be my psycho b**** crazy ex girlfriend. We broke up a few months back and it was ugly. She was threatening suicide and throwing ****. I just started dating a much saner, cooler and hotter chick now and I think maybe she found out. This could be totally random but what the **** is wrong with people? I just don't understand.

    I was going to go on a short vacation next month but it wouldn't be the wisest to go after dropping all of this money. Just wanted to vent and see what y'all's thoughts were if this was random or personal.

    Where did it happen? If it happened at home or work, most likely someone who doesn't like you.

    If it happened somewhere else, probably random BS...like cutting someone off or taking their parking space type crap. (not that I think you did any of that...its just how the road rager's think) Or it could be just some random kid being an ahole....but unlikely.

    Sorry bout your car man. :(

    Thanks man. It happened at my house. I live in a duplex in a pretty quiet neighborhood in town near Westheimer and Shepherd. It is a spot I always park in and it happened at least 3 hours after I parked. There were about 4 or 5 other cars parked in the street and mine was the only one damaged. Nothing was stolen out of my car either. I didn't have much worth taking but it all appears untouched.

    Yeah, maybe go to the Montrose substation, is it still on lower Westheimer?, and describe where and how many tires. Ask if any other similar vandalism happened in the neighborhood (ie how common it is).

    In all seriousness though, I'm very sorry to hear about your car. I, like many posters in this thread, believe it was the ex-gf who did this. Hope she gets caught and serves some jail time.

    Don't think it would be your ex-girlfriend. I'd look into your current girlfriend's-ex as a possible candidate.

    Yeah, I don't think the ex would do something like that just over a breakup. Cheating, maybe, but a breakup. More likely his current girlfriend isn't all she makes out to be.

    Sucks to hear. From what I remember, that area has a high foot/bike traffic and adding in a bunch of the tweakers/hipsters/drunks, its likely it could have been random.

    My buddy used to live at Harzard/Sul Ross, and we would sit on his balcony and watch all sorts of crazy life forms walk the streets at night.
