Yep. And don't forget him forgetting that a pitcher needs to face at least one batter before you can sub him out. Man, was this front office ever more wrong about somebody?
Not to mention they traded away a veteran pitcher for a low level prospect. When you are trying to win now, being a seller instead of a buyer never goes over well with other players.
Springer still leading off. Marisnick Should be 9th instead of Castro, automatic out right before a potential rbi hitter. Idk, maybe just me, springer been struggling lately.
Right. Luhnow even said after the deadline that he suspected some of the players, some of the ownership group, etc. were disappointed with the lack of moves. The organization is still operating like they are in rebuild status to an extent, not win now. I could see if the pitching was as bad as the offense but the pitching is good enough to compliment it with a competitive offense and see how far they can go. Will be interesting to see in the off season if the organization can attract and convince real free agents that they are no longer in rebuild status and are all in on winning now and not just stock piling for the future that may never get here.
Anybody seen Gomez during batting practice? Michael Conner (790am), said Carlos takes smooth swings and easily jacks balls over Tal's Hill. Knee swings are just added fun for him.
