You're pissing me off. Stop posting please. You are Trump jr with baseless accusations 'from the gut'. You are disgusting For you, it's impossible for you to realize that Muslim Americans are actually scared of a Trump presidency. No sane major party presidential candidate has the audacity and stupidness to make exuberant press conferences invoking themselves in the third person on how they will ban all Muslim immigration and then have his psycho fascist followers cheer when he makes the announcement . Yes, the Khan's and any law abiding Muslim family in the US has every right to hate this ****ing orange faced baboon. The very fact that if Captain Khan was born under a Trump presidency with Trump's policy desires turned to reality, he wouldn't have even been granted access to the US.
I agree it's a smart business plan to conceive a child with your wife and raise that child into a fully grown man so that he would coincidentally enough decide to join the military and die a hero. So you can then profit twelve years after the death of your child for a presidential campaign. I wish I'd thought of that 39 year investment scheme. I'd be making the big bucks.
Better business plan is to be the son of a rich developer. Declare bankruptcy 6 times, while keeping the gains and avoid repaying debts. Run for president as a lark and destroya political party in the process.
You're being silly. You're also being extremely naive. Are you one of those who really believe the Republican party is that much different than the Democrat party? You really think the well connected Democrat politicians in Washington really give two ****s about the poor and unfortunate souls? I feel bad for you if you really do. Take a look at your future president, HRC. Politicians in the past at least tried to hide the fact they were bought out by the elite. You're too busy worried about Trump 'banning Muslims', wtf that means. Obama struggled to get his HCR passed, something nearly every American wants. Do you really think Trump is going to get his fence and banning Muslims passed?? Or any other idiotic idea that he throws out there to troll the population? Sure, Trump has a snowballs chance in hell in convincing the Americans to elect him, but he will soon learn what Obama had to realize... Congress is not your friend. Its easy to woo and dazzle people with hollow promises to get your ass in the White House, but fulfilling those promises is a different story ... if the man truly cares to even bother trying to fulfill them. The Republican party is not Trumps friend, contrary to popular liberal belief. The Republicans and Democrats in Congress would tear him a new hole. Why are you not worried about the real issues? The issues that are spoken, but never addressed? The ever increasing divide between the lower class and upper class? Obamacare. Dodd-Frank. The massive bailout. None of those helped the middle class. How is one to expect the middle class to recover and thrive when the policies hurt them the most? Meanwhile HC insurance companies just laugh and cancel unprofitable plans or just simply pull out all together. Banks just laugh and restructure how they make their profits. So yes, mock and call me name likes 'Trump Jr'. Be a tool for the party you support.
You just gish galloped your way out of a despicable comment. Stop moving goal posts. You just made allegations that a dead veteran's father is purposely profiting of his son's death. And to address as your silly gish galloping, Trump transcends party politics. This isn't about Republican or Democrat. This about a man who has the temperament of a child being handed the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet.
Republican playbook of attacking anyone who might be a threat to you totally backfired here. Don't attack gold star families. Rule number 1 needs to be added to the playbook.
I didnt do anything. I would never politicize a military family member or childs death ... considering he volunteered for service. Quit acting like the Presidency is some type of dictatorship and Trump can launch nukes for the LOLz. You're distracting from the real issue at hand.
Sweet Lou, you lost credibility a long time ago. Im not mentally chained to a political party like yourself. You're welcome to feel free to think 'gold star families' like the Clintons are good for our country. You'll be 95 and still blaming the Republicans for all your problems even if they never win another election.
It's "politicizing" when people who don't agree with you speak up about their experience. If we are going to have a democracy, citizens need to share their opinions and their experiences with respect to political discussions. "Politics" should not be a dirty word in a system of government that requires people to participate. Khizer Khan, Pat Smith and every one of us are free to share our thoughts on various topics and political candidates based on our personal experience-- whether it's as an immigrant, a police officer, a teacher, or a parent who lost a son. Policies and political rhetoric have impact on people's lives and it is totally legitimate to discuss them. We can still disagree with each other in these discussions even if the other person feels very strongly about a topic based on an extremely emotional experience (as GWB did with Cindy Sheehan), but saying someone is "politicizing" their experience is pretty much just cheap and useless name-calling.
But the President can actually nuke for the LOLz. There's no current regulations that says it has to go through Congress or the Supreme Court before firing them.
It's not even a Republican playbook. GWB and Cindy Sheehan, for example. It's really just Trump's dumb ass.
Technically yes in practice no. During Watergate when Nixon started drinking more and acting erratically Nixon's Secretary of Defense James Schlesinger ordered that emergency orders particularly those about nukes be diverted to him and / or Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. The President doesn't have an actual button to launch nukes but has the authority to order a nuclear strike. The "nuclear football" isn't a launch device but a briefcase containing the authentication codes for launching. Those codes are checked and counter checked and there still is the final check that there are actual people in the subs, silos, and planes to actually launch the nukes. My own opinion is that it's hyperbole to believe that Trump or any other president could just launch nukes out of a fit of anger. This is covered in a recent piece from NYT. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/05/science/donald-trump-nuclear-codes.html?_r=0 It's also a very common scenario in movies such as War Games and Crimson Tide. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/c1I7rGsr2KE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The only required check is to authenticate its an order from the President. You can't use one example of one administration that may not follow the right chain as what all future administrations will do. If you want additional check, the government needs to make an official change. It is simply foolish to ever rely on people inside the President circle to act and block dangerous nuke moves.
In literal sense, the only way to get around a presidential order to launch would be a mutiny. Either someone at the top of the chain of command of a ship captain, etc. if the president decides to launch and anyone refuses or tries to countermand the order, they are violating standing orders or if a civilian such as defsec it's criminal.
My understanding is that it's not just an order from the President but that the order is itself authenticated and follows proper procedure, for example if a President went rogue and just ordered a nuclear strike without going through the procedures in the codes. As far as using one example this is such an unusual situation where we really only have one example where it was feared that a president might use nukes in a less than grave situation. Yes I agree that refusing a lawful order that has followed procedure would be mutiny but military law has long held that unlawful orders can and should be refused. While it's never happened my own feeling would be if a president in a fit of anger ordered a nuclear strike, such as getting a mean tweet from someone in Pakistan, that if the military officer refused to hand over the codes that officer would likely survive a court martial while the President gets impeached. As the NYT article noted it was basically mutiny but neither Schlesinger or Kissinger have suffered legally from it.
It is argued that the President has almost single authority to initiate an nuclear attack since the Secretary of Defense is required to verify the order, but cannot legally veto it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_football
I suggest you read what you write from an outside perspective and ask yourself if you are guilty of what you accuse others of.
the republicans, including trump, did a hell of a job politicizing those whom died in benghazi against hillary... *crickets*
Just for the record, I hold no personal interest in this debate. But I want to point out something to you. Hilary's actions lead to the death of those people. Trump's words did not kill his son. The war did. The war that Hilary supported and Trump did not. Actions speak louder than words.
