My assumption is that China has devoted a lot of resources into international sports competition, to the point of having athletes start as toddlers in a specific sport. It seems like they're on their second generation of this with the likes of Yao, Wang Zhu Zhu, and Yi being the the first. How come they haven't reached the levels of Argentina?
Who's gloating? I said if they play with that intensity, they're going to wafflecrush everyone. And that's true. What's your problem? You in one of those countries that's gonna be wafflecrushed?
Agreed. 6/6/2 would look great. I just want to see that he's not completely lost. He'll probably get dunked on but that's not a big deal. I want to see that he can play a little with athletes on the NBA level.
Yi Jianlian is their best player and you're seriously surprised? Yao Ming is not walking through that door. Wang Zhizhi is not walking through that door.
Watching the re-run. Qi looks overmatched physically, as to be expected considering he barely 200 pounds on a 7'2" frame lol. Definitely a project.
Hadn't given their team one second of actual thought before watching. I just took for granted they wouldn't be so terrible.
Aron Baynes with the Ragnar Lothbrok imitation. Dude looks scary out there. They way the refs are (not) calling fouls plays right into Australia's hands. Bogut and Baynes are shoving people around.
I don't understand Batum. Probably the most talented and highest paid player, yet totally takes a back seat Seriously pathetic that Delly is beating the French. Everything through the backdoor!
Fran Fraschilla: "This is Washington Generals defense from France". LOL! Bogut is 9/10 from the field.
As I typed this, as if on cue, Andrew Bogut waltzed down the lane for an uncontested dunk while France stood around and watched like it's the NBA All-Star Game.
