I wish Hard Knocks covered the Texans this training camp...MUCH more interesting.

I love the direction this team is going, but if Watt isnt 100%, I think we max out at 8 wins.

While I would have no problem with us drafting Carr (actually liked him despite our tragic past with his brother), but I honestly think there was too much history there for both parties. I recall reading somewhere that David didn't want Derrick getting picked by Houston and I am fairly certain Derrick would have his doubts watching Carr get blitzed behind that horrific O-line to the point that he jumped at the sight of his own shadow. Granted he did always hold the ball too long, but we certainly didn't do him any favors either.

Bortles I have never been sold on in all honesty. I still don't think he's going to be good, but like with any young player, we shall see. Bridgewater I wanted, painfully so. When the Vikings traded up and stole him from us at the very end, I damn near vomited blood. Clowney is finally turning it around as long as he can stay healthy, so that takes away a bit of the sting. Still, if we could have had them both, we would have made out like bandits that year.

I still stand by that Oz is a necessary gamble. No one in the draft was going to help us the immediate next 2 years IMO and Watt's window is closing soon, Hopkins's is probably not too far behind as well. We could ill afford to throw away a year coaching a new QB up to speed and Oz was by far the best option during the offseason, unless anyone is willing to put money down on RG3, Kaepernick, or Fitz. Honestly, I didn't even think he would leave Denver and by all 3rd party accounts, they would have matched us to keep him.

Been loving the reports on DJ Reeder, if he can develop enough to be able to start by next season that's great value which we haven't had in awhile in our draft picks.

    Hope he keeps it up.

Watching the Herd, right now he has the Texans finishing 6 - 10 and dead last in the division.

Herd is salty because no one will radio broadcast cast his show in Houston anymore.

Herd openly questioned the Texans giving JJ that much money after he extended, so yeah.....

Way better offense. Clock control. Mercilus and Clowney will bring it.

BoB knows what he's doing. We've won 9 games with a crappy offense. We can overcome an injury.

It has been YEARS since we have had an exciting kickoff or punt returner. That alone gives me hope of a much more exciting season. Add in the fact that we don't have to watch The musical chairs of Hoyer and Mallet, Clowney on the sidelines, and it looks even better. I can't wait to see our addition of speedy players, and the possibility of some trick plays with Miller the do it all man, who has promise in being an exciting addition to our game. I think even if Watt isn't ready by game one we should be OK with a healthy Mercilus and Clowney. I can't wait to see our new speedy receivers and our new running backs make some moves we were lacking last year. I personally won't miss Foster one bit. I hope Brock doesn't disappoint us, but I don't see that happening considering what we have endured the last few years at that position.

This should be a great year for Houston fans. I have high expectations for this team, and would love to see us go to our first Superbowl here at home. It can happen! Believe baby, believe!

I'm more surprised by the fact that you were able to recognize Max Bulloch in the first place. I wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup.
