Spent some time in Houston the past couple weeks and now that I'm back in Colorado its interesting seeing how different the common Pokemon are here. Never once saw a Mankey, geodude, or drowzee in Houston and they are by far the 3 most common Pokemon in Denver
Interesting. I'm going to NY in a couple weeks, hopefully I can get others. I've only seen/caught a couple Mankey, Geodude and Drowse in Houston. BTW... Anyone got a ******* Pikachu yet?
225 and BWY 8 as a bunch of Magneton, Magnemite and Electabuzz. Thought that was cool that it knows they'd hang out there.
I've caught two near the bathroom at clear lake city park, and hatched 1. They're a b**** to catch though.
Our phones used to show similar nearbys, and would usually be almost identical if we sat in one place for a few. Now they could be entirely different, though that problem pre-dates this update. Today, it left a Bulbasaur on my nearby for 10 minutes, despite the fact that I had already caught it. Only since the new update am I having the GPS not found message, but I'll be in the wrong spots for a while before I do, once I get that message it pops back to the right location. Once it starts tracking me it works fine.
What is the longest anyone has been able to hold a gym? I'm at 15 days now. Left my most powerful Pokemon at the time there to give me a chance to take another nearby gym. It has lasted a lot longer than I expected. For a while, I was actually hoping someone would knock the gym down as I wanted my Vaporeon back. Oddly, my wife's Pokemon got knocked out after a couple of days. She keeps going back, raising Prestige, and adding a Pokemon. However, about every 3-4 days someone will come by and knock off 3-4 Pokemon in the gym including my wife's Pokemon), but leave before finishing the job.
It is a 1600 Vaporeon which two weeks ago was pretty good. My wife initially put in something probably around 800, but even before we were out of range of the gym, a 1500 Gyarados was added as well. I should add the gym is in a park that requires a 3/4 mile walk and there is no shade within range of the gym. There is another gym in same park that also requires a 3/4 mile walk that my wife and I have to take over every 3 to 4 days. My guess is that the people taking over this other gym just don't have enough potions to take over both in one walk.
When the game came out you could hold gyms. Now you are lucky to be the one to place pokemon in a gym after you beat it. Coin mining is far harder. Hoping for some of that sweet sweet drop in DAU I've been hearing about to show up around here.
The other side of town... damn. I saw a Pikachu the other day on my radar (Heights), but after walking around for an hour trying to find it, it disappeared. Never have I been more annoyed at the nearby tracking loss.
Woodlands Waterway has alot of pikachu there lately since the game update. I caught 5 during my lunch break
I caught my 5th yesterday. They are very hard to come by where I live, and Charmanders are even worse.
spoofers/bots are currently running rampant in my area. ruining the game for me. hopefully niantic does something soon, otherwise i'm probably done.
