That's a useless way of looking at it. If Harden is the offensive focal point, then when he's off the court, of course everyone's numbers will go down.

The proper way to evaluate this is to look at how these players played on different teams without Nash/Harden.

Nope, you just said. "Show me a quote." because you then must have realized how silly this is and now you are running around in circles.

Your opinion is undoubtedly wrong. At some point? You mean in a career? Well then Harden has done plenty of winning in his career. Next.

You are one of the few people that think Harden is responsible for motivating Dwight.

Dwight is a 30 year old man and apparently needs James Harden's motivation to be a great player.

There is not a single player in NBA history that has the magical properties of making teammates more talented than they are any ways so it's not an argument I'm even going to delve into.

Last years Rockets 97.6 possessions per 48

    06 Suns 95.8 possessions per 48

HHHHHUUUGGEEEE difference. My apologies for not considering that very big difference.

The point he's missing is a pretty simple point that when you receive the ball in basketball you are allowed the freedom to do what you want to do.

Harden wasn't forcing anyone to chuck up threes especially in what was supposed to be a free-form Motion offense. They just decided to chuck up threes because they lacked the confidence to drive and rightfully so, no one else on the team knows how to do that excluding Beasley.

Yes, when people put words in my mouth, I want to see a quote.

    Really? Undoubtedly wrong?

Newsflash. Harden didn't make an all-nba team in 2016. Lowry did. So no, my opinion isn't undoubtedly wrong.

He's the primary ball-handler. He determines where the ball goes. Dwight gets motivated when he gets the ball in the post. Connect the dots. It's not rocket science.

Correct. One player cannot make another player more talented. But he can put him in a better position to succeed.

It's not a coincidence that Bell, Barbosa, Diaw, and even Jason Richardson had their best years playing with Nash.

You're literally saying that if Dwight tried, the defense would go from terrible to elite. You're also saying that Dwight will only try if he gets post shots, which he is very poor at. Is there another player in the entire league who thinks that way? Does that not OBVIOUSLY show that this is on Dwight, and not Harden?

Really it just comes down to the fact that it's just fundamentally ridiculous to say that it's Harden's fault that Dwight was childish, unprofessional, immature, and selfish. It's fundamentally ridiculous to say that Harden "made Dwight worse". Surely you know that.

You're allowed the freedom to do what you want, but your freedom is limited by your ability. Brewer and Ariza have terrible handles so when they have an open 3, they pretty much have to shoot it.

He got the most post touches in the league.....

Dwight literally said he quit on his team...there is no one to blame other than Dwight for his ego and his childish behavior. The guy is basically 30 and in the league for 10 years and is still acting like a punk.

    Aren't you contradicting yourself here?

By saying that Ariza/Brewer's handles are so bad that their only option is to launch a 3 that in return makes it the best position for them to succeed. Which is what Harden did, he fed them the ball whenever they were open to shoot 3's.

Look at it this way. In 2006, the Sun's offense was considered a fast-breaking, high-octane offense in a "7 seconds or less" system. 95.8 possessions per 48.

In 2016, do you know what 95.8 possessions was? The league average.

You're trying to compare two things that aren't easily comparable.

    Nope, I'm not contradicting myself.

And no, when Ariza/Brewer are struggling from the 3, another open 3 isn't putting them in the best position to succeed. Regardless, that's the usual result for Harden's hero-ball style of offense.

First off... You can't give a player post shots.. you can give them post touches.. What they then do or happens following that is largely on them.

Dwight got many post touches and post up opportunities.

    And ONCE AGAIN.

This failed attempt at a point is almost as bad as you saying Harden had a better supporting cast than the 06 Suns.

This guy has to be top ten in least bball knowledge on the GARM.

No, what's happening here is you got fact checked.

You made a claim that you thought was true. It wasn't and now you are trying to come up with ways to seem not as wrong as you were.

"Your freedom is limited by your ability"

You can say the same thing for Dwight post shots, but that doesn't fit your argument, I guess.

Nothing he's said has made any legitimate sense whatsoever.

Except I didn't so I have no idea what you are talking about.

Oh yeah, you mean the controversial decision that sparked this thread?

You are all over the place. You said earlier about this that Lowry>Harden because of winning and how that has to play a factor, yet do you realize that Cousins is on the ALL NBA team?

Lets not even pretend to go here again. Dwight got his post touches.

You can continue to ignore the stats and numbers brought before you but every time you say this from now on everyone just remind him of this fact.

No, it's not a coincidence. It's also not a coincidence that they also played with Amare Stoudamire.

Look, put it simple terms. Look at the Clippers before CP3 and the Cavs before Lebron. What exactly were Blake Griffin and Irving doing? Hint, it wasn't winning. Look at what Cousins is doing. Hint, it's not winning.

Nash benefits from his teammates as much as they do him. You're not getting that.

This wacko dude really said the 2016 Rockets are better than the 2006 Suns barring Nash and Harden.

Any claim like that has no credibility...

The talent level, skillset, production.... ISN'T CLOSE... REGARDLESS OF NASH. LOL

    Because it's not true.

Bell/Barbosa/Diaw all had the best years of their career with Nash.

Bell and Diaw were traded to the Bobcats for Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley. At that point, Jason Richardson was in his 8th year in the league and an established player. His subsequent years with Nash were the best of his career.

You can deny it all you want, but there's plenty of evidence. Look at Channing Fry's career. It speaks for itself.

You can also look at Joe Johnson. He only played one year with Nash, and in that season, he shot 47.8% from the 3pt line and averaged 4.5 attempts per game. He only hit the 40% mark (40.1%) one other time in his career.

As for the rest of your post, I've addressed your points in my previous posts.

I'm actually just putting this guy on ignore. The only thing his simpleton mind understands is very basic box score stats. I suggest the rest of you do the same. It is literally not worth discussing anything with him. He's like one of those people who scream that the sky is green and grass is blue.
