Another L for DC comics. That's 2 L's in less than 2 weeks. They should really stop making movies and go back to the drawing board. Throw a boatload of cash at Nolan and Bale.
Another L for critic reviews but if the audience reception is better and it still has good box office numbers then it really doesn't matter. WB will continue to put out its movies (i.e. Transformers franchise). Just cater to the audience and stop worrying about the critics.
I understand this, but it's still disappointing. Marvel just has better movies made that both audiences and critics like, and makes more money at the box office. It's like one franchise is striving for excellence while the other is striving for just being good-enough to make a lot of money.
DC has so many iconic characters because of their comics and mainly cartoons of the 70s 80s and 90s . . . .. . they have rich source material It normally translates well on their animation movies (until recently it seems) It is doing good on CW I would expect better from the cinematic universe Is this too many chefs in the kitchen? I think dc went for a darker, more serious world than marvel and the critics crap on it because they don't take these movies seriously so they scoff at a comic movie that takes itself too seriously. At the end of the day they think it should be light. Most of the audience who have cropped on them have talked about it being too serious, too complicated, boring, too long, etc. disappointing
I'm not too excited for this but I'm still watching it Friday cz idgaf what critics say about movies, especially when it's DC. DC could re-release the shawshank redemption with the only change being that it has the DC logo on it and I'm almost positive it would probly get like a 46% rating for being too dark.
Yeah that is why the dark knight trilogy was a huge flop with low ratings. BvS was a terrible film. It had nothing to do with being to dark (since I like dark movies). It just did not make any sense. Wich dc movie did you think was good but was badly received? I was also looking forward to this movie. I still have hope for it.
This is true. The masses (especially clutchfans) are fooled when it comes to ratings given to dc movies.
Could not care less what critics say about superhero movies. I love nearly every single one of them. No matter how good/bad they've been rated. I enjoy going to the cinema and switching off for 1.5-2 hours and enjoying it for what it is. I don't need to relate to my Extension English notes from high school and critique every minute detail about the movie. I can't stand people who try and do that either... usually everyone who rates a movie poorly.
Some reviews I've read seemed ready to trash it from the get go.... Entertainment Weekly is a bit more even handed, some slight spoilers....... http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/02/suicide-squad-ew-review
If it helps I seen one review that says there are more shots of her a$$ than some of the other support characters got total Rocket River
