What we have to look forward to under a Trump presidency, more racism. Trump has made racism "Cool" again for a lot of people.

I don't know how much validity there is to this but wouldn't a large portion of individuals in their 20's and 30's being in massive student loan debt be contributing to low home ownership?

30 years ago, this same age bracket had more savings opportunities which is a key factor to home ownership.

 

We could jump to all sorts of conclusions about "30 years ago". 30 years ago there weren't as many illegal immigrants and worker/student visas in the US. 30 years ago the US wasn't involved in open-ended warfare in the middle east. 30 years ago...

 

How would illegal immigration affect those in an income bracket to own a home? A farm hand isn't going to be able to own a home regardless of how many illegal immigrants 'TOOK DER JEBS!'.

I think my scenario is more plausible with the fact that college graduates are EXACTLY the demographic that would be potential home owners.

 

Where do you find the time to come up with these straw men? Do all illegal immigrants and student/worker visas work as farm hands?

 

I would say MOST illegal immigrants are in a line of work that would not net them home ownership thus they are not taking jobs away from professions that are capable of netting home ownership.

You do have a point with h1b visa immigrants. Many of them are definitely in a profession that is capable of netting home ownership.
