Shouldn't be, unless they want to prove someone is healthy. Clubs know who players are and won't use one game's performance to make a decision (unless it's the Rockets and Kelvin Cato has a triple double in the preseason).

Why take him out at 91 pitches?

We need to score. Giles, gregerson, harris might give up something. Our offense still sluggish.

Giles was most likely going to be used today as he hasn't pitched in days, maybe he wanted Giles to face bottom of the order instead and preserve an inning tacked onto Lance's innings count. Don't mind either decision to be honest

Remember when people on this message board thought that Ken Giles was rubbish?

Giles threw about 8 sliders that inning that were completely unhittable. That's the guy they traded for.

If the team is not going to make a deal for a closer Giles has to be the guy to grow into the closer.

Another 2 run homer given up by Matt Bush. Great chance to get back that game we lost!

Got no problem with Giles being used, Lance was just dominating and would have given him one more inning.

There are times we need Giles, Luke and Harris to all finish out a game. But in a game like this, I would rather not have to rely on all three of them having a good game....that's my deal...I do understand they are watching the number of innings/pitches Lance throws, but after 2 losses I would have left him in

In any case, Giles absolutely dominant again

Have you noticed that there aren't as many posts during games the Astros are winning?
