Not really a good effort on that wild pitch

McCullers as a closer probably sits 98-100

He is unhittable when command is there.

Last batter looked like he nearly pulled something trying to hit Lance's curve

Springer was scheduled for an error today... hence, DH

Yeah, saying that Jake is getting showcased is silly...at this point in the season, there is no such a thing as showcasing...unless you bring up some random AAA guy and hope he has a 3 game stretch of kicking ass.

Sure... the vast majority of a time, a player will have more value staying down in the minors (and dominating) vs. being called up for a "showcase" (which may not help his trade value if he struggles).

I just don't see big league teams making drastic shifts in day-to-day lineup decisions based on showcasing. Maybe, at most, a pitcher makes the move from the pen to a starter... or vice-versa to a closer... which may accentuate their value.

Or... just Lance as a front line starter pitching ~200 innings.

Correa needs to stop talking to Biggio about sliders.

    Rangers leading 3-2
Blue Jays and Red Sox already lost
Cubs were getting no-hit in the 6th until Bryant went deep

That might have been the luckiest hit I've seen.

Should McCullers be allowed to pitch the next inning? State your case before it's too late.
