Not the best, but possibly the most shameless. Can you imagine the furor from Fox News if Michelle Obama had plagiarized Laura Bush?
You thought having all of Trumps kids come out to tell us why they like their daddy was a good main event?
For Trump, it's not whether or not you are politicizing or polarizing. If you say anything negative about him, he pounce. He just couldn't with Michelle. He adore her. I didn't listen to Warren. I also couldn't make past a few mins for Cory. I did listen to Bernie - he's a horrible horrible speakers, but maybe because he's the only one that actually go into issues.
Michelle gave a speech about dignity, and going high when others go low, and how we are better than bullying. Basically she delivered a direct rebuke of Trump's standard stump bluster and garbage. Trump's response, when he got smacked in the mouth by a smarter, better, more popular figure, is to back down and call Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas"...again. Typical bully behavior.

Just my opinion but the RNC looks like a total joke after watching the incredible speeches of the DNC last night. Trump just looks like a completely terrible person all around. I want nothing to do with him as president. He can build himself a wall between himself and everyone else. I doubt anyone who attended Trump University is going to be voting for him.
Pretty sure I saw some flag lapel pins though. You got to recognize the political significance of the flag lapel pin. And, oh yeah there's this...
Uneducated right wingers are always distracted by shiny symbolism. Nuanced policy discussions just isn't within their cognitive abilities.
That's what you came away with from the convention? All of the issues addressed, talked about, discussed. The party platform was put forward, highlighted time and again, and what you focus on were American flags? Is that how deep Republican voters delve into issues? By all means keep discussing American flags, while others actually talk about issues, the future of America, what it means to be an American etc.
Lol and even in the face of evidence just deny it. Is it that hard to argue about actual policy? Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find something else largely irrelevant to whine about for tonight, so just admit you were wrong and take the L and move on.
It's the same BS as the "War on Christmas" thing manufactured by right wing media to appeal to the grievance of their base. By the same token here, one can easily criticize Trump for not saying "God bless America!" to conclude his speech. As for the "no flags"-- the stage behind the speakers had a giant projection screen and rotating walls. The background changed constantly. This was a snapshot at one moment. There were plenty of time where there were red-white-blue flag themes in the back. In fact, the the background wall rotates between the "brick" look on the picture and a look with stars on them. Pretty sure they were evoking the stars and the stripes. Just too subtle for Eric Trump, I guess. Also, I don't see no flag in the stage background here, either:
It means nothing. Is it supposed to mean Trump is more patriotic than Hillary? If anything, then it means Trump is trying to prey on the stupid people with slogans like "Make America Great Again" while brandishing American flags everywhere. He's using his business savvy to try to sell himself as a great American who would be a great leader. Yet, when he talks, only stupid sh_t comes out of his mouth.
I actually thought about this last night. Why aren't there any flags at display at DNC and plenty at the RNC. Why no chants of "USA" at DNC when there were plenty of proud patriots chanting "USA" at RNC? Why does the DNC try to hide patriotism? Do they hate this country? Do they find patriotism offensive? They dislike the history of this country and it's obvious. The democratic party has become an anit-American party with socialist tendency.
Did you actually think that yourself or was it the opening of Fox and Friends? Or better yet, someone you follow on Facebook?
