    He wouldn't take the Suns job, idk if that's lack of interest in head coaching or lack of interest in the Suns. He is currently a player development coach for the Warriors and has some responsibilities for the Canadian national team. Is that enough for him or is he looking to progress as a coach?

    For what it's worth, I think he'd be an amazing addition to MDA's staff and what they are trying to accomplish. As far as player development goes, don't really know what he's adding to the Warriors. Here, there could be some real strides made in teaching James Harden what to look for, teaching alongside MDA how to run the offense and letting MDA handle the furrowed brows of the media and fans.

    Hey, it's a better asking point than Kevin ****ing McHale!

    If that's the case and all it takes is a few bones they'd flatly be idiots to not have him here for a week of training camp.

    Not something worth going out of your way for, but I doubt anyone here would have problem with it if they went that route.

    Not sure why he would want to come here though. He works for Jerry West and his old friend Kerr, the team he works for is probably the best in basketball, and I believe his kids live in CA.

    Why would he take the same position on a lesser team with an unproven coaching team?

    The Warriors by all accounts have a great coaching culture and they just got Kevin Durant. He has a chance to be a part of that. Doesn't make sense that he'd do the same job for the Rockets right now.

    It's not the same player development to assistant coach. The Warriors are an established team, Jesus reading comprehension Christ. What is going to teach to a team of all stars and champions? Some people want the challenge.

    Because it's just a part-time, consulting gig. He only met with GSW 2-3 days a month. He might be a consultant for hire, not attached to one team???

    You can call it what you want but he wouldn't be the lead assistant.

    Would you rather be any assistant coach on the Miami Heat or a player development coach on the Warriors.

    But what heypartner is saying is relevant. Looks like he might be a part time consultant. Still I'd imagine if he wanted an assistant coaching gig with the Warriors, they would offer it to him without thinking.

    Don't you guys feel like Nash is more of a front office guy who occasionally works with players? He doesn't strike me as a full time or head coach.
