Cruising along, but that turned into a very taxing inning. I'd imagine he's done after that, pen is plenty rested.

Marisnick now has a higher batting average on the year than Carlos Gomez. Let that sink in...

If it takes packaging Gomez to land Sale then you just have to bite the bullet and do it. :(

Neither should be playing in a pennant race right now

All this talk of trading McCullers, Bregman, or whatever other top talent for a Chris Sale type has me nauseated. I wouldn't do it. Let him go to Texas and pitch great for a 3rd place team.

2.00 ERA in his last 27 IP. Love it.

Please don't let him go to Texas. Sale and Hammels in a 7 game series? Yikes

I would trade bergman for sale. Sale is a legit ace who has a good contract for 3 years. Even if Bergman is an all star you are getting an Ace.

Toronto lost to the Mariners so that's 1 game behind the wild card.
Nice performance by Mchugh. Our pitching should now be 2nd in the AL by the time the night is over in ERa.

Including Bregman and other prospects, even top ones, in a deal for Sale would be great. Add Sale to what we have controlled already for the next 5-7 years and we would be year in year out WS contenders

McCullers is a no go for me though. Youngest starter in the AL right now and moments of being as good as anyone out there. If anyone other than Correa and Altuve should be off limits, it's Lance

Sale is great and all, but I'd rather just ride with what we have rather give up top talent. Luhnow's record in trades is not very good. Let's just develop our own talent. Florida won 2 world series doing that.

the way I look at it is that even if they get Sales, it's not like they can beat us anymore than they already have.

But we should go get him. It's obvious we are missing two things. An ace. And a number 2. AJ Reed looks expendable. I would not trade any starters unless it's Rasmus or Gomez. But Sale is worth a prospect. I mean what prospect can outdo Sale. All they could do is live up to him. So it's an easy sell to me.
