If they think this is radical Islam, they are likely hiding out so that they do not have their careers destroyed as a result of pursuing these killers, as it is even more politically incorrect in Germany than it is here to condemn radical Islam, especially if it is done by the police or anyone employed by the government.

Again we see the effect of making political correctness a higher priority than national security or the rule of law.

unfortunately, Germany has a huge guilt/inferiority complex, so they let extremists invade their country and slaughter their citizens

A French politician criticized the police for killing the Nice attacker. This is where we are with political correctness.

I'm glad the guy is dead and hope it was only one shooter. What do you think of the two comments above your post, ATW?

Why does the media always put out the news of multiple shooters in every mass shooting. They do it every time.

It is true that it is way too taboo to criticize Islam. It's also true that German police are less trigger happy than US police, by far. But it's not true that the police would therefore hesitate to shoot someone who is in the act of shooting at unarmed people. I regard that as hyperbole. Still, there is some truth to what MojoMan is saying: A leftist politician (Renate Kuenast, who is a Grade A moron) tweeted just minutes after reports of the axe attack on the train came out "why the police had to kill the refugee, was there no other way", showing no compassion whatsoever for the victims, but immediately blaming the police, without knowing any facts.

This is of course hyperbole as well, but again, with a bit of truth in it. I do think that our history played a role in us being extra careful to not appear xenophobic, and in trying to be "the good guys" rather than the monsters we were in the past.

    See above.

With regard to this shooting, I still don't know what the motivation of the shooter was, we might never really find out.

That video from the rooftop of the parking lot is quite extraordinary - some guy in a thick Bavarian accent telling the shooter off (I think it might have been the guy filming, so he might have felt somewhat safe up there, but I think it is still kind of brave), and the shooter actually responding. The shooter clearly seems to have been brought up in Germany, seems to be speaking without accent from what I can tell, so I don't think he is a refugee. He might still have a political motivation, or just be plain crazy. I have to re-watch it, but it sounded like he was saying he was under some kind of treatment and "had to buy a gun". Someone also said something like "****ty turks", but not sure if it was the shooter or the person filming. The other thing I don't understand from that video is if the shooter is isolated on top of a parking lot and people can hear and see that, how the police could apparently not keep him trapped there.

Because often you get reports of multiple shooters in urban areas due to the sound bouncing off buildings giving the impression that they are coming from different places.

Better ratings probably. They obviously don't care about the facts, so whatever they can do to make the situation seem more dramatic. More shooters equals more drama. That is what they are selling.

He also claimed Rayan Andrison had bruises all over his body caused by Dwight and talked to him over how D12 is dirty player

    2% violent contents v. 2.5% New Testament

Never heard a single cleric condones ISIS actions and stays away from prison safe, it's always the opposite which is not quite news worthy.

But those anti terror clerics to some :are political puppets, orchestrated by governments

well ...so you don't know or have enough knowledge ,but you suspected education play a rule here, despite that...yes you are correct.

    Not everytime.

Confusion and speculation. Sometime it's as simple as they are reporting what's being reported to them.

For example, in Dallas it was the PD that said there were multiple shooters and so the press obviously would report it as such.

I re-watched the video. Shooter says he is from a poorer part of Munich called "Hasenbergl". I do think he might have some kind of immigrant background because I don't quite see why he would have to say he was born in Germany otherwise. Hasenbergl is also the part of Munich with the highest percentage of Turks and immigrants.

It's somewhat "funny" though, because the guy who is screaming at the shooter is quite angry and calling the shooter a wanker and ******* and saying someone must have taken a dump in his brain, while the shooter uses somewhat polite language for whatever reason and says "please stop filming" and says "Sie" (the more polite form) instead of "Du". Again, he seems to be saying he was in treatment (psychiatric?) and had to buy a gun.

The guy screaming at the shooter then tries to warn people who seem to be coming up onto that rooftop, then two shots are fired :(.

I think the guy screaming is actually not the one filming, the people filming don't speak German either, sounds like they are whispering in a Balkan language at the end of the clip.

That's a question for your doctor, not this board.

Could be mental illness. If the shooter is dead, we might never really find out. So senseless, like any of these events.

It's now night in Munich. I don't think we will know anything definite in the next 8 hours or so.

But my hypothesis is indeed some kind of mental illness. The perpetrator is German, not a refugee, and I think an Islamist background is unlikely. Perpetrator seems to have made some confused xenophobic remarks. He might have a migrant background himself.

Today was also the 5th anniversary of Breivik's horrible terror attack. I don't know if there is any relation.

One more thing about the Munich police, they are probably by far the best police force in Germany, and they are now getting support from a federal anti-terror unit.

The whole city is showing a lot of solidarity, people are sheltering people who are panicking, hotels are opening their doors.

Some friends of mine who are doctors were called in to help those injured.
