Nearly picked Daugherty with previous pick, had to talk myself out of it. I like the player, good talent for this pick. Since I had to choose 1 big man, I picked a tough guy. If we were going 10 rounds and I knew it, would've picked Daugherty and found a tough guy in later rounds.
It's a nice pick at this stage. The reason I didn't pick him was because he really didn't block shots. Divac could score and block shots and was a nice defender. Nance was my backup if Divac was taken.
Daugherty, Nance, and Steve Smith were my top 3 going into this round but I thought I'd go a little unconventional with final picks. Besides I don't think I've ever drafted Horry I'm surprised that with such a large pool of players we all pretty much have the same players ranked close together.

So LCAhmed, you summoned us here and you are the David Stern in this draft, you have to say the final word re rounds 9 and 10. If we are doing those, I want to know for my next pick.
I don't think I would have changed my starting 5 picks if we drafted for 10 players. It changed when drafting 8 players because I had to pick bench players that could play multiple positions had the opponent specialized in small ball or go big. As it turns out, I'm pretty content with my team now that it's complete. Though I would really love to swap Robert Parish with with Bosh, Gasol, or Sheed. Don't know if any of the brehs would agree for a straight swap.
I don't know anything about the first 2 players. I did run into Nance in my research, but thought his name was too girly and moved on.
As of right now your team has a chance to make a trade that could put you into contention to win the draft. Some teams looking at vbg could really use a reliable center. Making a trade for a straight up swap is not going to happen. For 1 the value is not the same. 2 it would make there team have a hole in the other big spot. Now a brand for parish swap is probably around the same value but vbg probably needs a pf back. 3 team deals are ideal to make fit and value fair.
Yeah? To me Daugherty sounds girlish but I'm not a natural English speaker so my associations might be off. When people say Daugherty, it sounds like Dorothy to me and this is what I think of:
